Have the students choose five representatives from the class, who they feel will make the best decisions on behalf of the class. (This may be done as an election).

Those representatives will vote for a classroom law. Pick a law where students will have split- decisions, such as “Should we have PE outside or inside?” or “Should we have a shorter lunchtime to have a longer recess?”

Then, allow the entire class to vote on the same law.
