Why I am taking this class: Professor Ott is teaching it. Also, I love languages and the study of linguistics. I want to combine software programming with topics from this class to create some pretty cool apps that the world can benefit from. 

Six things I like: Vegan pizza, Minecraft, weightlifting, hiking, leveling the field by bringing more awareness to women's rights, and opera. 

Three things I don't like: The way Canadians pronounce ‘progress’ yet say ‘project’ correctly, being ambushed by my cats for food just after I woke up (do not worry, I feed them!), cynical and pessimist attitudes. 

Why you chose the picture above: I took this photo after hiking up to Eagle Rock in San Diego. It was a beautiful hike. I cherished every moment of it. The rocks really do form the shape of an eagle! My mom noticed that the tops of the wings form two more shapes. Do you see them? Hint: turn your head sideways to the left.
