The last two days of the year, spent doing different things

First day

They spend the first day cleaning the house top to bottom. This especially includes the kitchen as its the heart of the house, the chimney is cleared of soot, etc. They also cook a dish called the nine soup. Consisting of 9 ingredients, it is served with dumplings with clips of wood, paper or pebbles. However if you get one with coal you have a bad heart.

Second day

On the second day they visit monasteries and give gifts to the monks living there. They also light firecrackers and torches to chase away the evil spirits still lurking.

Losar (New Years)

They rise early on New years day and bath, dress, and sit around exchanging gifts with family members.

On the night everything is decorated with lights and lamps. Colored bottles of water are placed infront of them to add color. Also fireworks are launched.

This year I want to set time aside for me to fix my 1993 f-150 or at least start on it. And continue working so i can afford some of the repairs on it as well.

This year has had some ups and downs, from losing my grandpa in February, to being happy my sisters joining the military. This year Ive made friends and lost friends while making memories I will hold for years to come. Ive learned many new things this year, and learned many tips that i will use in my life.
