The best time to visit South America is during September and November. This is because winter in South America is June through August and the summer is November through February. During September and November, it won't be as hot, but it won't ever be cold. Since most of South America is close to the equator, it is mostly warm year-round. The worst time to go to South America would be January through March because that is the rainy season.
