"Learing Must be treated as impossible to predict, plan, supervise, or evaluate according to predefined standards" ...""To Begin to Document is to begin a journey of changing perceptions and changing actions" These two passages resonate with me because it speaks to teachers being open to new possibilities, change and is for those who are open to change and curiosity for learning.

Section: Curiosity. It's stated we might resist doing pedagogical documentation because we fear not being able to be completely objective. I think, personally, the best perspective we can have has partial subjectivity. My instincts and inner knowledge of children in general will bring a required input to my objective-as-possible view of what's going on with the child. That is why I'm a professional... because I have years or months of insight into the mind of children in general.

I like the stance taken that Pedagogical Documentation is is not meant to be a strategy for

teachers to teach better. Rather it needs to be viewed as a way to get to know better what children already know.

It challenges entrenched ideas of what teaching involves. I like how it is embedded in a fluid cycle of of inquiry and research

that is not linear and even though the process is often messy it provides endless possibilities for the curious mind.

Section on Curriculum- The best learning takes place through children's curiosity and interests. If we went on curriculum alone we would be doing a great disservice to the children. Going on the children's ideas will teach them to think for themselves and contribute in class discussions, making them feel confident and comfortable sharing their ideas.

Curiosity, to remain objective we need to recognize that children not be seen as deficit as this affects our lens. We need to pay attention to our lens and to see from their eyes, learning and asking questions to find out from them.
