         <description><![CDATA[<p>Before the 1979 Revolution women had pretty progressive rights, they could vote, they had rights in marriage and divorce. They got more rights in child custody and the minimum marriage age was increased for girls. Women were also becoming more "out in society". They had jobs in medicine law education and more, they dressed in a more western style and the Hijab was not mandatory. But many Conservative Islamic groups believed that women should have more domestic roles, and wear a Hijab for modesty. </p>]]></description>
