Under 3rd degree PD, the lower income group belonging to the more price elastic demand market will be able to purchase more units of goods and services, giving higher consumer surplus.<br><br>Economies of scale...<br>The high output level and scale of production results in substantial internal EOS, reducing the unit cost of production. The firm can thus charge a lower price to consumers without losing profits. Consumers can buy at lower prices, allowing them to purchase more, increasing their material SOL and consumer benefits.<br><br>-&gt; natural Monopoly&nbsp;<br><br><br>contestable market...<br>Competition incentive<br><br>Others....<br><br><br>Dynamic effeciency...<br>Producers will make supernormal profits, and this allows them to reinvest their earnings into R and D.
