This video talks about many aspects of dyslexia. It starts of by saying that the common thoughts of dyslexics having trouble seeing is false, and that they actually have trouble comprehending the words that they're seeing. Dyslexics have to break up words in their heads, which is why they are slower at reading. Also, spelling words exactly how they sound is very common. There are also very mild to profound cases of dyslexia, and everyone struggles with different things. Dyslexia is a genetic disease, and it runs through families.

Not everyone has the same type of dyslexia, and some types of dyslexia aren't as severe as others. People with dyslexia have weaker connections in their brains there visual centers. Dyslexia is mostly not being able to understand differences in the ways people talk. Dyslexia is also not being able to understand and differentiate phonemes, which are the smallest parts of speech. This makes words that have the same amount of syllables easy to mix up. Dyslexia is a visual and phoneme-based disorder, but dyslexics still excel at their passions.

This video is about the causes and the good parts of dyslexia. He starts off with 1 out of 5 people in the world have dyslexia to show that you aren't alone. Dyslexics are able to see a situation and take pieces from it, and then put them into a narrative that others can't see. Because of this, dyslexics are great at engineering, entrepreneurship, architecture, and arts. Dyslexics use a lot more energy on decoding words and letters than a regular person. In this video, he talks about childhood experiences with dyslexia. He talks about how 35% of dyslexics drop out of school, 50% of people in rehab for abuse are dyslexic, and 70% of juvenile delinquents are dyslexic. He mentions famous dyslexics like Albert Einstein and Nasa scientists. He believes that dyslexics need to be taught to use their strengths and interests to rise against their struggles and use what they are great at.

Dyslexia is diagnosed in 1 out of every 5 people. It is usually thought to be "the reading and writing disability", but there is much more to it. Dyslexia is caused by weaker brain connections in the visual centers. This causes thoughts to be spread out and incomprehensible. Dyslexics aren't able to understand the differences in the way that people speak and they aren't able to differentiate words with the same amount of phonemes, which are the smallest parts of speech. Dyslexics have trouble decoding words and they mix up words with the same amount of syllables. You don't see dyslexics having speech troubles because they aren't looking at a word, they are just talking about what they know. Dyslexics are actually great public speakers and actors because they focus on their speech, and they aren't looking at anything.
Being dyslexic is hard, especially when you haven't been diagnosed yet. Struggles reading out loud in class cause kids a lot of embarrassment and anxiety. They make little mistakes like switching ds and bs and Ms and Ws. I feel really bad for anyone with dyslexia, especially children in school. I believe that if you are having any problems like taking longer on homework and tests, if you started talking later than others, and you aren't able to comprehend reading and others speaking, you should get tested. Getting tested won't do you any harm, and then you could get the help you need.
There are many gifts that come with having dyslexia. Dyslexics are great public speakers, because they don't have to read anything. Also they excel entrepreneurship, the arts, architecture, and engineering. If you have dyslexia, use it as an advantage. Everyone's brain works differently in spectacular ways, and you should use yours to it's best ability.
