When these chrome books were assigned, students had sign a waiver stating that if any damage happened to the chrome book while in the students possession it was their responsibility to replace it. If the student wished they could pay a small fee and get a warranty on their chrome book but it was not required for purchase. However, I have found that creating an atmosphere or culture of respect and responsibility will do wonders. Show them a little trust and a lot of firm resolve.
