She began her career in 1994 with NCM Capital in Atlanta, Georgia, ultimately advancing to the position of regional vice president of institutional sales and marketing. Prior to taking her current position, Linda Jordan spent over 10 years with Mesirow Financial in the position of managing director, a role that involved oversight of more than $90 billion in assets under management. The Atlanta, Georgia, resident conducted her undergraduate and graduate level studies in electrical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She was inducted into the school’s Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni in 2006, the first African-American woman to receive the honor.
