The text gives a insight on why the book "the adventures of Huckleberry Finn" should be continued to be tought in Americas classrooms. I agree with their argument that people shouldn't try to sensor are past and that kids in America shouldn't learn a cleaned up version of some of the worst times in our society.

The video that was chosen for me talked about the use of the n word in comedy and how it may not be acceptable in certain situations. I somewhat agree with their comments on the topic on how its ok if you're not using it in a derogatory manor or as a way of offending someone.

The text tells you about the different types of housing areas that make up Americas community's. It gave different definitions for each of the different colors. The green areas are thriving parts of the community that are being built up, blue areas are the areas that were already built up, yellow areas are the places that are going out of style for the modern buyer, and lastly red areas are the places where they have already gone through the yellow area stage and are going down hill. The article also talked about how black people were more common in the low class areas and white people were more common in the higher end areas.

The poem talks about how black family's today don't realize the type of life that their ancestors lived through. It also talks about how we should help each other work through our problems so your not alone. I cant really have an opinion on the first topic sense i'm not black, but i agree with the second topic on how we should help the people that really need it.

Hate Crimes Increase Across Maine, Nation

The article talks about the increasing amount of hate crimes in america and specifically focuses on Maine. Data provided from the FBI shows that throughout the recent years hate crimes have been rising and the people of Maine should start speaking out against racism so it doesn't turn to violence. I agree that racism is still an issue in the US and that we should speak out against it to teach young people to not continue the acts of our ancestors.
