This objective is particularly evident throughout. It is one of the main objectives of these activities. In activity 1, the students main aim is to identify these factors. The students even receive an opportunity to experience such factors. In activity 2 the students also identify their opinions on such topics and the way in which such opinions may be influenced by outside factors. Through the diary the students receive an opportunity to identify their barriers to their own performance.

Capacity to undertake different roles in physical activity.

The students receive opportunity to undertake different roles throughout these activities. This is particularly evident during the practical based session of activity 1. The students must perform the physical activity with the factor/barrier placed upon them. They therefore must undertake a different role to overcome such barriers. This objective can also be seen in the Presentation sections where the students must develop a presentation of what they have learned during the term. Here they must undertake the role of a teacher.

In my opinion the videos used throughout portray this objective excellently. The students can identify the power of sport for both men and women and how it has changed their lifes for the better. Assessment 2 also incorporates this objective as it portrays to the students the way in which such initiatives can increase particpation levels thus enabling a wider variety of people to receive such benefits. In addition, the students experience this naturally when participating in such physical activity.

The students experience such an objective throughout but especially in activity 1. Here as mentioned previously the students must identify the factors/barriers to participation in physical activity for certain groups. The students then receive an opportunity to experience such factors in a controlled environment. Therefore, the students receive an opportunity to experience the risks that some people experience when participating in physical activity.

The students also experience such an objective throughout but particularly in their assessment . The students idenitfy initiatives and methods to overcome such barriers in Ireland. This activity enables the students to research ways in which Ireland has tried to break down such barriers and overcome such obstacles. An example of this can be seen on my resource pack portraying the Gaelic4Girls initiative. Therefore, the students experience sport in Ireland in a unique manner.
