Can be fabricated, inflation, it’s a piece of paper that can easily fall apart, not reliable, easily could be remade to fit needs of who needs it, sometimes causes issues with transfer between developing countries and ones not normally used to travel.

Some characteristics that make us not trust US bank notes is the fact that the price of the bill increases with inflation. Also, US bills can easily be ripped or damaged which causes the bill to not be able to be used.

The main reason most people don't trust paper money is because of public trust and it can be counterfeited, its very easy to tamper with money since its just a piece of paper. Which is why some people make fake money and you have to check and make sure its real or fake.
