When the kids reached the age appropriate for military service they were corralled into the Hitler Youth Movement. Some teens were against it and did not want to join the Nazi movements. They Rebelled both culturally and politically. Boys were growing out their hair, people were listening to American music which was not allowed at the time. Teens were dressing in a western style, with bright colors and interesting shoes present on their clothes.

There were multiple groups of resistance. A few that we know of are the Edelweiss Pirates, and the Swing Youth, or the Jazz Youth. While the Edelweiss Pirated rebelled by showing open hostility to the Nazi system, the Swing Youth rebelled by embracing the banned music and culture of the American enemy. The music was contraband so only the rich kids could really afford them. While the Gestapos and the S.S. were not happy with everything that was happening, raiding parties and gatherings, it didn't stop anyone from continuing.

In an attempt to make people afraid to rebel, Nazis captured 13 agitators, including seven Pirates, and marched them to the gallows in the middle of Cologne. All prisoners were hung in full view of the public. That was in October 1944. As scary as it might've been, people kept going. Rebels were sent to forced labor and discipline camps, but even there they kept their ritual of singing songs in protest of the Nazi regime.

The White Rose had multiple people involved with it, including two siblings, Hans and Sophie Scholl. They typed up papers with texts against Hitler and Nazis, spreading them anywhere they could. One time so many papers were flying around some even reached prisons and concentration camps. Although during one of their attempts to spread the word, they were reported and later executed, their work inspired hundreds of people. There were more people in the White Rose than just the siblings. There were 4 students and one professor left after the passing of Scholls, Willi Graf, Kurt Hubert, Christoph Probst, and Alexander Schmorell.
