#1. First she was spinning, then she was waltzing, and then she was tottering
#2. The repetition of words help the poem flow along and can explain the verb that she is doing or acting on like dancing, spinning
#3. She is energetic because she is doing things even when she is old.
#4. Totterig means wobbling while she walks or dances, and these movements represent that she is getting older
#5. The speaker means yes she may be getting old but she is still young and vibrant inside. The evidence to support that is " Waltzing on your ninetieth birthday.
#6. The speaker loves the aunt and the tone is joyful, and loving. The words we got from that are dear, beautiful, smiling, love, and laughing
#7. These lines or phrases convey to the poem by shes still happy and dancing and beautiful

1. For the first dance she is spinning round and round because she is more energetic. The second one she is waltzing because she s older and its a slower dance. The third one she is just tottering when she walks because she doesn't have a lot of energy.
2. We think it helps with the imagery because they are action words (adjectives) and it tells us what shes doing.
3. We think it shows that the aunt is active and energetic even when shes old.
4. We think based on the context clues tottering means waddling or walking slow.
5. Shes still dancing and having fun. The evidence that shows this is "waltzing on your ninetieth birthday".

The first time the aunt danced was when she was a young girl "spinning round and round". The second time she was dancing she had a "long, blue dress swaying to the beat of La Varsoviana". The third time she danced she was old, "white haired but still young, waltzing on your ninetieth birthday, more beautiful than the orchid pinned on your shoulder, tottering now when you walk". The first two times she was young and very energetic, it also seems like she was a very good dancer. The third time she danced she was old and it seemed like she is not capable of moving just like she did but she still has it in her.
