Everything has its advantages and disadvantages, and this is the case with grandiose narcissism as well. While it has some positive aspects, I think it is more of a bad trait when it comes to living together in society for the following reasons.

To begin with, people with grandiose narcissism have no empathy for other people's situations because in their thoughts they are more important than others and they deserve special treatment. This can lead to them showing arrogant and haughty attitudes and people around them can suffer.

Secondly, it is highly likely that they make bad decisions due to their ignorance of expert advice. Since they are overconfident about themselves, they tend to take greater risks and be skeptical about the value of expert opinions. This can cause serious problems if they are politicians for example. One decision they make can have far-reaching consequences for the public.

Lastly, grandiose narcissists are likely to blame others for their wrong judgment. According to many studies they are more likely to take credit for a successful outcome and blame a failure on others than their non-narcissist counterparts.

In a nutshell, grandiose narcissism is generally a negative characteristic in individuals.

Grandiose narcissism is characterized by high self-esteem, interpersonal dominance, and a tendency to overestimate one's capabilities.
I think grandiose narcissism is a bad trait because a person who is a narcissist does not have any empathy or sympathy towards others. Grandiose people think about themselves and do not understand the situation or condition of other people.
First of all, people with this personality were most likely treated as if they were superior or above others during childhood. These expectations can follow them as they become adults.
Also, those with grandiose narcissism are aggressive, dominant and exaggerate their importance.
In addition, they are very self-confident and aren't sensitive.
Overall, they take advantage of others to get what they want and they think they are more important than other people.
