He took the same story but gave the story a visual representation. He took the last part of the story which was when Icarus fell from the sky . He added more detail and meaning behind that. But even though It was the same part of the story there was some differences. Because of what the story said, of course there was going to be differences by what the artist put in the painting. The artist put people doing things like simply walking around or doing tasks. There was also a ship that was never mentioned in the text. But these element gave it a more human perspective due to the fact that we do these things everyday.

I think he does that by simply showing us Icarus drowning. As we are human, we are not all-knowing, so we don't know that he s drowning because he was flying up to the sun with huge wings created by his father. Whereas i the story, we have almost a superhuman perspective because we know what they felt and what they said up in the sky, and we actually know that it was Icarus' hubris that caused him to fall.

The artist transforms the text to be interpreted from a more human perspective by showing the reaction of the surrounding population to Icarus dying. Or rather the lack of a reaction, as the author shows how insignificant Icarus was. He achieved an impossible feat - He flew, but nobody cared. By making Icarus so insignificant, the author showed how humans would see him. Insignificant.
