When reading this chapter, i was amazed, shocked and laughing a little bit. Now after finishing the book I know that it is sort of normal for grandma to do things like this. This chapter is my favorite chapter. Grandma finally gets it for all those times she did sneaky stuff!
When she switched the names around, the other person won with Grandma's pie. That serves her right for all the times she did sneaky stuff!
But she still didn't learn her lesson. She used an old ribbon to get a ride on the plane!
Grandma is EXTREMELY sneaky.

I was very sad that Joey went to join the army. It is very nice that Grandma Dowdel waved to Joey as the troop train went by. I am also surprised that she did that.  Just saying its a little weird that grandma Dowdel waved to Joey. in the first part of the story grandma dowdel would defiantly not do that but as the story went on grandma  you could see that grandma dowdel started to drift to more of a nice person. but is still a little of her old self changed through out the story. I agree that Grandma Dowdel is very sneaky! I love that you felt like she was paid back for not always following the rules. It make me think of the saying that, "Cheaters never win."
