Multimedia Presentation: Community Helpers

The purpose of this assignment was to create a multimedia presentation using an online tool and visually appealing slides that we could use in our current career. The intended audience for my Canva presentation is my Kindergarten class, as well as the other kindergarten classes in my school. It is useful for us because it helps teach our social studies standard on authority figures. The standard covers who authority figures are and their roles. Based on peer feedback, I streamlined my text colors to just blue and white to create a more cohesive look throughout the presentation.

Multimedia Tool Integration Guide: Canva for Education

The purpose of this assignment was to create a step-by-step guide for integrating a multimedia tool into instruction in my current career. It is a Canva presentation intended to be presented to educators on Canva presentations. If I was presenting it, I would present it to the other elementary teachers in my building. The information is useful to instruction because Canva for Education has so many useful resources for teachers, and the presentation tool is helpful to deliver content to students in engaging and meaningful ways. Based on instructor and peer feedback, I added more information to my conclusion on how my multimedia tool instructional goals and learner understanding and success.

Multimedia Rubric: Multimedia Integration Assessment Rubric scoring a Multimedia Presentation on an Effective Teaching Strategy

The purpose of this assignment was to use an online rubric creation tool to create a rubric to evaluate multimedia integration in a lesson or training plan. My rubric was designed for a multimedia presentation that a colleague would create on an effective teaching strategy to share with the teachers at our elementary school. It is useful because it allowed me to gain a skill I had not done before. I now know how to create high quality rubrics that could be used for colleagues or students. Based on peer feedback, I added accessibility to the text section and shortened it to two pages. I think those revisions added a key component to the rubric that would make the presentation inclusive, as well as making it concise for the reader.

Multimedia Repository: Weather and Seasonal Patterns

The purpose of this assignment was to create a multimedia repository focused on a subject or topic in our field. I created my repository on Weather and Seasonal patterns, and it includes videos, games, simulations, and visuals. The intended audience would be myself and the other teachers on my Kindergarten team, as well as our students who will view the content. I could also put some of the resources in Schoology for them to access themselves, especially the games. It is useful because it provides us with multimedia resources that are helpful in teaching and practicing the standards in this section. I did not recieve any feedback on what to fix, but before submitting I did decide to make some changes to the colors on my Padlet to make the different categories stand out more which I feel was a good improvement.

Multimedia Learning Module: Coins

The purpose of this assignment was to create an interactive multimedia learning module focused on a curriculum topic. I chose to make a Canva presentation on coins names, attributes, and values which is one of our math standards. The intended audience is my kindergarten classroom, as well as the other kindergarten classes in my school. It is useful because it will help students interac with the standard and help them retain the information about coins through visuals, audio, and hands on activities. Based on peer feedback, I made the text smaller on the notes in the presenter view so that it would be easier to read all of them at once.
