It's Saturday morning and I'm enjoying my breakfast at my new kitchen table. Thought I would try out some new technology tools. Yes, I'm a geek and enjoy this kinda stuff.. Just yesterday at a Lead Technology teachers meeting I head about these 2 tools and wanted to try them...
I chose to take a look at Adobe Spark and Padlet - Both have lots of uses for teachers and students. And are FREE!
Here is the site for Adobe Spark https://spark.adobe.com/
This discussion is in https://padlet.com
MJ Page

I recently tried out Scratch Programming and created a short interactive video for my blog. It was incredibly easy to use thanks to a short tutorial on the program. It was awesome to create a "game" all by myself and be able to allow my viewers to play around with it. The visuals were very cute and I would definitely use this program again to create short interactive videos.

Joyce Kang

I tried to do the website for project 8 and I didn't find it that hard. It was easy but generally it's hard to make the website look professional, you can tell it was kind of made on the spot. But i enjoyed doing it because I was expecting to have more trouble. So if anyone wants to use a website do it! Furthermore it's easy to link to a blog or really anywhere. Everything is straight up and not confusing.

So basically I made a website about my business venture and after that then I made a tour of Oakville that displays all the areas that my friends and I have decided are worth checking out. I've posted both of these to my blog only the tour isn't showing up so I don't know if that's just a glitch on my screen or it just inst showing up. Anyways this is just confirmation that both tasks are completed

For assignment #8 I decided to create a website on my passion for winter activities. This website lists the top 10 winter activities for everyone to try. Building the website itself was generally pretty simple. I think that putting a website together can be very easy, but making it stand out and look professional can be more of a challenge. When building a website, the goal should be simplicity and impact. People don't want too much to read but they also want impactful information that they find interesting. Additionally, people like websites that look cool and engaging. It's important to choose a good theme and format when creating these websites and the results will be amazing! For my second technology option, I chose to create a tour. This tour covered a portion of Oakville that I travel to on a day-to-day basis or in the summer when i'm hanging out with friends. I think this is a great way for people to engage with your content and get a really good visual understanding of a lifestyle. In this example, I show people my school, workplace, and hangout spots. Once again, not too difficult to create, but the summary descriptions of the locations should be to the point and easy to read or people might get bored.

I tried out this program and really enjoyed playing around with it. I will say I am not the best at puzzles, and I had some difficulties getting them to move together. I had a great time learning what the animation features can do. They did not give me a place to save or give a look at final result, but i copied the link I had. This was a great way to show the other side of the business world in a fun gaming way. https://beta.scratch.mit.edu/?tutorial=getStarted

Jamie Knoblauch

I ended up making a website dedicated to my three favourite kinds of cars. I would really proud of the collection of ideas because I have never really looked at all my favourite cars beside each other before, the contrast was telling. Anyone who knows me knows I've always been so excited to buy my first car, and to drive it all the time. I've been saving since I got my first job (when I turned 14), and in March I officially get my G2 license. All three of these cars are on my bucket list but I highly doubt they will be options right now, haha. I really did enjoy making the website, I have a dark blue undertone that I think compliments the title picture well. I tried to make everything tidy and well organized, its not hard to operate!

Link: https://sites.google.com/view/madisfavouritecars/home

Madison Penny

I made a game using this program developer website and I enjoyed learning the basic tools and movement controls.
I feel if you are a beginner and wants to learn code I suggest trying this program out. As well, I enjoyed understanding how each of the animated controls worked. However, Scratch does not provide a download option on your computer other than embed HTML code. Overall, I would highly recommend anybody to try this program out and see how it goes for you.

i used the scratch website to create a quick and easy animation. If I am being honest, I had a little bit of trouble with this, so I didn't continue and make it complex. It simply says Hello, asks you for your name and to enter it. I did have a lot of fun making the different costumes for my animation. The features are amazing.
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/349744347/
Noor Akrawi

For my show what you know I worked with Google Sites and Google Tour Builder. For the site, I focused it around highlighting my school and personal work. The site was very easy to make due to Google's easy implementation of web elements. The Google Tour Builder also went really well, there were a few challenges that I eventually solved and also some features I didn't think the site would have. I'll be posting both the site and tour on my blog and a full reflection with it.

For this assignment I used Tour Bilder and a game/puzzle builder called WordMint. For the Tour Builder I focused on my dream to travel Europe after high school. I created a tour that marked several countries I would like to visit and in the description of the locations I put what attractions I would like to see and what I want to do. My second part I made a bingo game using a mix of WordMint and the Help of YouTube. First I created some bing cards, all about my favourite music but some spaces a different. Then I created a YouTube Playlist with every song that is one the Bingo sheets. To play the game the players just need to mix the playlist and then read the songs from top to bottom, marking their sheets as the go.
