In American Government, everyone born in the U.S. is free and has the right to vote as a legal adult. <br><strong>Civic Duty: </strong>In the Roman Republic, the males show civic duty by defeating an enemy or stepping down from power. In the United States, the males show civic duty by being in the jury and paying taxes.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Executive:<br></strong><em>In Ancient Rome, two consuls were elected and served for one year. They were in charge of the army and their government. The U.S. has a president elected for four years. <br></em><strong>Legislative:<br></strong><em>Rome's senate contained three hundred members who held consuls and set policies. America has a senate of one hundred members who guide the president and create laws. In addition, they also have a House of Representatives (435 members) who also make laws.</em><br><strong>Judicial:<br></strong><em>Ancient Rome had eight judges who oversaw courts and governed the provinces. American government has a Supreme Court of nine. Their job is to interpret the federal law and constitution.</em></div>]]></description>

They each are independent yet still work together while still maintaining equal power. Rome's dictators were elected by the senate at times of catastrophe. Since America is much more modernized, the country has evolved to become more systemized and balanced.</div>]]></description>
