Problems: The new immigrants coming into the U.S. were not from English speaking countries. Also the huge wave of immigrants were hard to take in because they overcrowded the cities. also they struggled to find jobs when they were in the U.S.
Solution: After the war, immigration laws were put in effect. Most of the immigrants found jobs, although they often worked in jobs that most native-born Americans would not take.
Remaining Problems: there were still a few immigrants coming in but not as many.

At the start of the war, President Woodrow Wilson declared that the United States would be neutral. The United States sent more than a million troops to Europe, where they encountered a war unlike any other. In the document "Immigrant Support for The War" , it shows that immigrants were a big help during the war. In the document " One Hundred Million Soldiers" , Frank Vanderlip made a speech saying that they needed a hundred million Americans to help serve in the war. This war gave many soldiers jobs who did not have any. The problem many faced is that they will have to sacrifice everything and fight for there country. Other problems that America faced was money.

A lot of people were drinking alcohol too much and needed it to stop. alcohol was often associated with such social ills as poverty and insanity. people smuggled alcohol through their boots, this was known as bootlegging to fix these problems, prohibitions were put into place to stop public drinking and limited age to purchase. but there were still issues; gangs of hoodlums became more powerful as they trafficked in alcohol.
