Over the years, it has changed for just about everyone depending on how they grew up and what they want. It used to be pretty similar for everyone but as many have migrated and are now growing up differently, people want different things as the grow to be an adult and fulfill their dream. Peoples American Dream vary from having items like a big house or nice car to just feeling nothing but happiness no matter their situation. All believe that the one place for them to be able to achieve their dream whatever it may be is here in America, knowing it's going to take hard work. This song is most related to the American Dream in the music video for the song. In the video he shows all the poverty in different parts of the world but everyone clip that shows America it shows how its still so much better than most of these other countries where the government is no help to their people. In the lyrics it talk about how the only thing stopping us from getting where we want is ourselves. This is the first step towards getting what we want, her in America with all the opportunities that some people just never take advantage of.
