Dear Diary,
Today during History lesson, i learned about what Singapore was like before 1819. the first source i found about Singapore before was that in the 14th Century , Tumasik was protected by the the Majapahit kingdom, this source tells me that Singapore, had good political connections with Majapahit kingdom. The second source was also from the 14th Century, i found out that Singapore traded with China, India, Java, Bali and Sri Lanka. The goods that China traded includes red gold, blue satin, cotton prints, chu porcelain, iron cauldrons and similar items. The third source i found, was in the museum, this source tells me that people transport by ships before 1819, people use ships to trade their goods with another country. My fourth source tells me that Singapore traded with Java before 1819, there was a gold armelt found at Fort canning and this gold armelt has the design of Kala, the Hindu god representing time and destruction. For my last source, this source tells me that singapore had a bad connection with Majaphit, during the 14th Century singapore was caught in between a struggle with siam and the java based. I really enjoyed learning the histroy of singapore before 1819.
see you tomorrow Diary, Bye
