A Camerados Public Living Room is a welcoming space where everyone is invited to simply be themselves — no agenda, no fixing, no judgement. It’s a place to have a cuppa, share a chat, or sit quietly among others when life feels a bit tough or lonely. The idea is simple but powerful: when people have somewhere safe to connect and feel seen, life gets a little easier. Public Living Rooms are run by the community, for the community — creating kindness, connection, and belonging one conversation at a time.

Valued Lives – Empowered Connections is a family-founded Western Australian organisation dedicated to supporting people with disability, their families, and allies to live empowered, connected lives. Since 2013, we’ve been helping individuals build capacity, make informed choices, and take greater control over their futures. Our approach is grounded in person-centred values, lived experience, and genuine collaboration — because we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to belong, contribute, and thrive in their community.
