I work at JB autos in penistone so I have to speak to a-lot of people whether they are there to book their cars in for a service or to pick up a car afterwards. Sometimes they stay if it’s a short job that needs doing, and often these people seem to think that they know more than me and tell me what I should be doing even thought I’ve done the same thing a million times and try to help witch usually makes what I’m doing take longer. I usually end up telling them to go and sit in the staff room where I don’t have to talk to them. I could improve by being more polite when talking to people that are just interested and don’t mean to be annoying.

I play men’s cricket so I spend a lot of time with people a lot older than me. Because of this I have very little in common with them so usually I won’t bother talking with them about anything other than the game. I could improve on this by being more open to communicating with them normally and it would probably make training more interesting as I wouldn’t spend it in complete silence and I would be more motivated when I’m playing if I’m not bored.

I also play a lot of football and communication is one of the most important factors in making a good team without it you juts have lots of separate players and not a real team. I need to be more vocal and let people know what’s going on around them if they can’t see for example man on when they are getting closed down from behind.

In class we were given a set of tubes and pipes and were instructed as a team to build different things like chairs and shelters. We worked together with some people building and others working to get all the different pieces we needed to build what we were building. We communicated well as a team and everyone knew what they were meant to be doing to be effective at that time. We could have improved by creating a propper plan together before we started building so we could work faster.

I have played football in a team since I was two years old. I have worked as a team every year since then working together with my teammates in training and in games to get the best results that we can. We communicate well as we have been playing together for so many years. We could improve by working out the game plan before the game rather than having to tell each other in the moment whilst we are playing whitch is not a efficient.

I have also played cricket every summer for many years. I played for penistone cc most of this time with mostly the same group of people. Communication is so important in cricket especially when batting as you and your batting partner need to know exactly what you are doing for example go, stay, wait so that they know what you want to do. For example if the ball goes behind the batter on strike the call falls to the batter at the non striking end to make the decision on whether to run or not. I am predominantly a bowler however so I communicate with the wicket keeper before bowling so they know what I’m going to do. I have always struggled with communication in the fielding part of the game always forgetting to call when the ball is mine.

I will always be in college when I say I am going to be, that also goes for my work and work experience. I will never not go in if I say I am going to, I have 100% punctuality. I will always come in if even if I feel rough if I have already said I would.
