The Digestive System

Animals and humans both need to survive. Let me tell you there’s a whole system in your body to do that. The name of this system is the digestive system. Did you know? Different foods take different amount of time to get digested. The digestive system turns food into energy and takes it all over your body.

 

Let me tell you the important organs of the digestive system...

|Mouth|

The first stage begins with the mouth. In your mouth the teeth chew the food while the tongue adds saliva through the salivary glands. The saliva contains enzymes and acid. The saliva softens the chewed food. Another function of the tongue is to mix food in your mouth.

|Esophagus|

The second stage of the digestive system is when the food reaches the esophagus which is a muscular tube that forms an easy path for the food from the mouth to the stomach. As the food passes through the esophagus it creates peristalsis waves.

|Stomach|

The next stage begins in the stomach. The stomach contains acid and enzymes that break down food further. The stomach is where most of the digestion happens.

Some of the important organs that assist in the digestion process are the pancreas, the liver and the gall bladder.

|Pancreas|

The pancreas is the organ that absorbs starch and protein which then digests into the small intestine.

|Liver|

Another important organ called the liver turns the digested food into useful substances for the body. It contains bile for fat digestion and it also removes toxins from blood.

|Gall bladder|

The next essential organ of the digestive system is the gall bladder which produces bile and is located under the surface of the liver. With this the food goes to the small intestine.

|Small intestine|

Next up is the small intestine. It is a wiggly tube which takes nutrition out of this digested  food and leads to the large Intestine.

|Large intestine|

The large intestine is the same but only has a different function. The function for the large intestine is to remove salt and water from the digested food.

Finally  comes the 🤬 which removes waste from the body and at the end of the 🤬 comes the 🤬 from where the waste comes out.

What is a Digestive System?
Like animals humans need to eat so they can survive and our digestive system helps us allot in this matter,it extracts all the useful small particles.there are 6 important parts,they are Mouth,Esophagus,Stomach,Small intestine,Large intestine and .Different food takes different time to digest.Digestion also starts before you eat.

Mouth(Salivary gland,Tongue and Teeth):
The first part of our digestive system is our mouth.While we eat our food our salivary gland makes the saliva,saliva mixes with our food contains enzymes to start moistening and digestion.And our teeth helps break our food to smaller

Esophagus:

What Is a Digestive system?

Digestive systems help us to break down food. With out Digestive system we could not eat. And if we could eat we would die. When you see or smell food your Digestive system starts. The main parts of the Digestive system are:mouth,oesphagus,stomach,small intestine,large intestine and 🤬.

Mouth
First food is entered through the mouth. Then food is mixed with saliva by the salivary glans. Next is crushed by teeth. Lastly moved by the tongue .

Oesphagus

Next is the oesphagus. The oesphagus takes the food to the stomach. While the food go’s down to the stomach it has a few more seconds to crush a bit more.

Stomach
When the oesphagus take’s the food to the stomach the stomach burns the food because there is bubbling acid that help’s the digestive system crush it more.

Small Intestine
The small intestine take’s the nutrients,vitamins and good stuff and gives the bad stuff to the large intestine.

Mouth
Firstly the food enters to your mouth.The food gets crushed by your teeth and saliva is added to the food to make it easier to digest.

Esophagus
Next stage is the esophagus.

Pancreas are organs that can secret enzymes for starch and protein digest into our small intestine. The liver absorbs fat but the gallbladder helps the liver to absorb fat by producing bile.

Ileum/duodenum/Jejunum
The duodenum receives partially digested food from stomach and digested. Jejunum absorbs nutrients from digested food and sends it to blood. Ileum mainly absorbs that food which is not been absorbed by the jejunum.

Large intestine
Large intestine absorbs water and gives away the remaining waste material to the rectum.

Rectum
Rectum is a sack which stores stool that is the waste material after absorption of nutrients and water. It ends up in the anus.

Conclusion
Digestion time is different for different people. On an average it takes 40-53 hours for food to go from stomach till it is eliminated as stool.

The large intestine is going around the small intestine, the large intestine is 9 feet long, it’s mixes the juice and become poo.
