Sentence Frames: All of us have seen sentence frames in the classroom and know we will incorporate them in our classroom. Although a simple and common strategy, we have seen this support to be incredibly beneficial for all students, especially EL's. This tool helps students with phrasing and structuring what students should be writing. We have seen in the classroom that this takes pressure off of the students formatting and allows them to focus on the academically vocabulary/content instead. It will also allow them to see what a well-formed sentence looks like and will slowly ease them into being able to write sentences on their own
Anchor Charts: We are all interested in using anchor charts in our classroom as well. This resource is an excellent tool to use for whole group brainstorming and displaying important information and ideas revolving the given content. The bets part is that students will be able to refer to the anchor chart throughout the lesson to assist them with the given assignment.
Other strategies we would be interested in incorporating in our classroom include:
-Word Wall
-Cut and Grow
-Text Dependent Questions
-One Minute Wait Time
-Turn and Talks
-Clock Buddies

All of us will definitely be using some of these strategies within our own classroom one day, as they are extremely helpful with building confidence in the English language, but also lot of the strategies are extremely helpful in breaking down and supporting certain aspects of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
