Name of Characters: John, the old cleaning lady, Mother

Setting: Outside school gate, hawker centre

Problem: Some tourists ate their food and never return their food trays, plates and cutlery. Then the old cleaning lady had to clean up the whole enormous mess by herself. ☹

Solution: John tells his mother about what he saw, (the problem) and both of them went to help the old cleaning lady.

(Solutions to the problem) Magic of 3 Lvl 3:

Idea 1: John and Mother went to the old cleaning lady. They both knew it was the right thing to do.

Idea 2: John and Mother help old cleaning lady by helping to keep the plates, bowls and cutlery on the food cleaning cart.

Idea 3: John and Mother push the cart to the staff kitchen. Then old cleaning lady help with the washing of the dishes.

How the story ends: Old cleaning lady thanks John and mother for helping her. John and mother said welcome and went home after saying goodbye to the cleaning lady. John learns lesson to always to do the right thing every time. He was happy he did the right thing by helping the old lady. [MFHDT]

Problem: John did not study for his end-of-year examinations as he was busy playing video games at home.

Solution: Copy Sandy's, smartest girl in class's answer. Sandy's word were big and wrote slowly just right for John to copy it.

Climax: John was Tom's only friend. Tom was in a dilemma, he had to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. He had to choose whether to tell the teacher and risk losing his best friend or keep his best friend but let him do the wrong thing and risk him doing it again and again.

How did the story end: John did not want to be Tom's friend anymore and did not acknowledge Tom whenever Tom tried speaking to him. However, Sandy became Tom's friend and John was lonely. John then wanted to be friends with Tom. John also learnt not to cheat and accept the punishment.

Name of characters: Tom , Jane , Jerry ,invigilator (Mr Tan ), School principal (Mr Ong) ,Tom's parents ( Mr Lee and Mrs Lee ).

setting: classroom , principal's office , home.

problem : Tom played computer games and forgot to study for his exam . While everyone's pens danced across their examination scripts, Tom stared cluelessly at his examination script. How could the first question be so hard? he thought to himself.

Solution: He decided to copy Jane's ( the girl sitting beside him )answers.

Dilemma : Jerry, Tom's best friend from primary 1 had witnessed the whole episode and was stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea.He thought to himself : Is Tom cheating in this very important examination? He must have forgotten to study! In order to be fair, I need to be an upstander and report him to Mr Tan . However ,if I report him to Mr Tan, I may risk destroying our friendship and those sweet memories of playing together would all become the past and would never happen again. Just as Jerry was about to mind his own business and continue with his paper, his Mother's words suddenly rang constantly in his ears."Honesty is the best policy."

Climax: It was at this moment that Jerry decided to be upright .Jerry strode up to Mr Tan confidently and told M Tan what had happened . Rage surged through Mr Tan's veins and the anger within him was palpable . Mr Tan marched over to Tom, arms akimbo and bellowed loudly ,"Tom how could you cheat in such an important examination? Follow me to the principal's office now!''

How the story ends: 39 pairs of curious eyes slowly riveted onto Tom. Mr Tan wrote a zero on Tom's examination paper .Tears flowed down Tom's red cheeks like small waterfalls as he slowly got up from his seat and followed Mr Tan to the principal's office.The walk to the principals office was a long one for Tom. Tom was harshly chatised by Mr tan for his actions. Mr Ong reprimanded and punished Tom for his wrongdoings. Tom's parents were also called to inform them of what their son had done. After the long scolding , Tom finally left the principal's office. Outside of the principal's office, Tom espied a figure waiting for him.It was Jerry. "I'm sorry I told on you will you forgive me?" Jerry asked. Tom said, "It's fine, it was my fault for not preparing for the examination properly. Moreover, I should not have copied Jane's answers. I'll have to face the music for my misdeed." Jerry smiled. He was glad that Tom had forgiven him and had also turned over a new leaf.

After a long scolding from his parents, that night ,Tom sat on his bed thinking about what he had done . He knew that he had disappointed his parents and teachers by his actions . He vowed that he would never repeat the same mistake again and he would also turn over a new leaf. That same night, Jerry sat on his bed as he recounted everything . He knew that he had done the right thing by telling on Tom. As the famous saying goes, " honesty is the best policy" Jerry vowed to be more upright from then on.

Characters: Bobby

Setting: MRT train, MRT station

Problem: Bobby was on the MRT from Woodlands to Yishun as he was just dismissed from school. He noticed a duffel bag below his seat. He got curious and opened the bag, and he was greeted with a huge sum of cash.

Climax: He was about to take the money when he remembered his mother's words: "Honesty is the best policy."

Solution: Bobby decided to hand over the money to the person at the Lost and Found.

1. He got off the MRT at Yishun and headed down to the Lost and Found.

2. He passed the bag to the person there. The person praised him for being an honest boy and doing the right thing.

Story ending:

F: Bobby felt proud of himself for doing the right thing, especially after his mother said that she was happy Bobby remembered her words.

H: He hoped to help more people in the future.

D: He decided to become a better person by helping more people in the future.

T: "Sometimes it is better to lose and do the right thing than to win and do the wrong thing."

Name of characters: Tom, Jane, invigilator (teacher)

Setting: School

Problem: Tom did not study for his end of year exam and he had spent the whole night playing computer games.

Climax: Tom started to cheat by copying my answers.

Dilemma: Should Jane tell teacher or not(as they were friends from young)? Did not want to risk losing a friend.

Solution: As Jane was afraid this will go on, she told the teacher. Teacher&parents scolded Tom.

Tom turned over a new leaf and thanked Jane for helping him change.

Setting : Park bench(walking home from school )

Problem : an expensive bag on the bench

climax : want to get a brand new toy but parents think it is to expensive. Alicia open the bag to find load of cash inside.Think that if she sold the bag, and use the cash in it, she can buy the toy

Solution : thought about how to explain to parents if she got the toy. Remembered Mother saying that honesty is the baest policy .Brought it to police station. Police praised Alicia.Mother praised Alicia too.

How the story ends : Alicia was proud of herself andj hoped that she would remember this episode.She dicided to be honest .As the famous saying goes, Honesty is the best policy

Jack and bobby were really good friends . They were always seen together and between the two of them jack had the upper hand in school work and exams as he studied a lot . One day there teacher made and announcement that they were gonna have an exam this week. The exam day was finally here Jack easliy without breaking a sweat did the exam . However bobby was struggling and didn’t know how to do any of it . That’s when he started to cheat off Jack . Jack wanted to tell the teacher but knew if he did bobby would not want to be his friend anymore . After a lot of thought he made the right choice and told the teacher . The teacher immediately sent bobby to the principal’s office.

but words could not come out of his mouth as if it was glued shut by just the thought of his friends being scolded and failing their exam

try 2: he managed to say something but he was silenced by the teacher who was in charge.

try 3: he raised up his hand and mastered up the courage to tell the teacher about his friends cheating in the exam

ending: dan and jack got scolded by the teacher and never cheated ever again

Climax: temptation to cheat. Should he do it or not

Falling action: decided not to cheat. Integrity is important

Maybe he thought of other ways to try to cheat.

Setting: Yishun Park, police station, home

Problem(Oh no moment): found a bag on a bench, with no one.

(The bag was very lonely)

Solution(Aha! moment): brought (accompanied) the bag to the police station.

Climax: I do not know if I should keep the bag and money to myself or to return it to the owner.

Magic of three:

Idea 1: asked around if the they were the owner (fail)

Idea 2: put around posters made at home (fail)

Idea 3: brought the bag to a police station (SUCCESS)

They did not know if the owner managed to get his bag back but I was happy to do my part.

Name Of Characters:Bob,Jane,Sally

Setting:Examination Hall

Problem:Bob stayed up all night playing games before the examinations and did not study.

Solution:Bob peered over to take a quick glance at Jane,the top scorer in class,and Sally,Bob"s childhood best friend,say this incident.

Dilemma: Sally was stuck in a disabling web of dilemma.On the one hand,she did not want to tell the invigilator on Bob as Bob may not be her friend anymore.On the other hand,Sally wanted to be honest and prevent Bob from doing the wrong thing as this was a very important examination.

Climax:Sally raised her hand and told the invigilator what had happened.

Conclusion:In retrospect, Saslly was in a sea of relief.Through this experience,she learnt that preventing someone to do the wrong thing is never wrong and she should be honest in the future.The incident served as a guiding compass to always be honest and prevent others from doing the wrog thing.Saly made a mental note to always be brazened and honest enough to prevent someone form doing the wrong thing.

Name of Characters:Julia and Joanna

Settling (Location):shopping mall

Problem :Thye both came across a bag in the shopping mall and found out it was the branded bag they really wanted.Now , they are in a dilemma in which they dont know if they should hand the bag to the customer serivce's lost and found or keep it to themselves , getting to boast about having the bag to their friends

Solution:They looked around and remembered there were security cameras watching their every move. Futher more , they thought on how a kind stanger had once returned a bag full of cash they had saved together to buy something and knew that they had to be the kind stranger in this situation.

How the story ends: They decided to hand the bag to the customer service's lost and found out that the woman that lost the bag was there too and the bag they handed to was hers.She thanked them profusely and wanted to give them some cash as a way of saying thank you but they refused,knowing that it was just the right thing to do.Futhermore, she had helped them in the past so they wanted to thank her in this way too.

MFHDT:Julia and Joanna went back to the shopping , knowing they had done the right thing.They felt the satisfaction of helping someone and doing the right thing , deciding that they would always help others.As the famous saying goes "Somethimes it is better to sacrifice and lose to do the right thing than to win and do the wrong thing."

Setting : school hall(during exam)

Problem: john never studied for an examination he did not know what to do in the exam . He was also very stessed during the exam .

Solution : he decided to try and cheat on sarah as she was on of the smartest students in the level .

Climax: john was caught in a dilemma .should he cheat on the exam or should he not.

Magic of three

Idea 1 ; before the exam , his friend told him that the was an exam that day . John was shocked,sad and nervous as he did not study.

Idea 3: john could cheat on sarah which could make him pass ,he could also go to the toliet but really just go to his bag and see the awnsers but he decided to do the right thing and not cheat ,he just did the paper.

Characters: A wealthy businessman, John (Restaurant waiter), shady guy (thief), police, passersby

Location: An elegant restaurant and roadside outside the restaurant

Problem: A wealthy businessman left his handbag full of documents and money on an elegant restaurant table after finishing his meal and left without taking it. A shady guy (thief) went up and swiped the bag, then returned to sit. John (Waiter) noticed.

Dilemma: John’s boss prohibited John to leave shift midway but he knew confronting the thief is the right thing to do

Trigger: The shady guy was about to slip away.

Solution 1: John stepped up and confronted the thief

Climax: The thief was alerted and pushed John aside before fleeing

Solution 2: John chased the thief out the restaurant and caught him with the help of passersby

MO3 L3 (during the chase):

Idea 1: Try to hit the thief (Fails)

Idea 2: Back the thief into a corner (Fails as the thief has a great sense of direction)

Idea 3: Shout that the shady guy is a thief (success!)

How the story ends:

The shady guy was caught and imprisoned while the businessman showed up and claimed his bag. John was not reprimanded by his boss as he did the right thing and got a promotion.

Conclusion:

As much as the feeling of getting a promotion was nice, but nothing compared to the reason that made it worth it to do the right thing. John hoped that he had more chances to do the right thing in the future. The smile that he smiled when he got the praise would always resurface itself on John’s face when he recalls the right thing that did. After all, Honesty is the Best Policy.

Characters: Stella and Raine (classmates)

Setting: School, Class, Hawker centre

Problem: Stella accidentally left her bag with her wallet and handphone inside at a hawker centre where Raine helps her mother with work

Climax: Stella left her bag at the hawker centre and left.

Solution: Even though Stella bullies Raine for having no friends and being quiet, Raine still returned Stella her bag.

Conclusion: Stella wanted to be friends with Raine and chose to turn over a new leaf

Ideas of Raine mind of what to do:

Idea 1: try to find her in the hawker centre's carpark

Idea 1’s con: dangerous and might not find Stella

Idea 2: Leave it at Stella's table for her to come get it

Idea 2’s con: someone might steal it.

Idea 3: keep it and return it to Stella after the weekend (succes)

Names: Me, Amy and Emily

Setting: At the coffee shop & at school

Problem:

One day, Amy, Emily and I were eating together at a coffee shop. When we left, we saw the cleaners there working very hard and we feel for them.

Solution:

We decided some ideas to help the cleaners. 2 of them failed and only 1 succeeded.

Climax:

We stuck posters on the coffee shop pillars and people were starting to return their trays.

Magic of 3 Lvl 3:

Idea 1: Amy decided to help the cleaners ourselves. (Fail)

Idea 2: I suggested that we remind people to return their trays and cutlery. (Fail)

Idea 3: Emily suggested that we paste handmade posters all over coffee shops. (Worked)

How does the story end:

People started becoming aware of the posters that we pasted at the coffee shop. Some even praised us for doing the right thing.

Name of characters: Jim, Tim and Mr Kevin

Setting: Examination room (During P5 EYE Exam)

Problem:Jim is having difficulty with the questions on his examination paper. He then realises his best friend,Tim, was on the same exact page as him. Tim was writing in an

extremely neat handwriting which made it easy to read.

Climax: Jim was caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, and eventually decided to copy Tim’s answers. He did so furtively and luckily none caught him red handed. Whilst marking the scripts, Mr Kevin( the teacher who is marking Jim and Tim’s class) noticed so many similarities between Jim and Tim’s answers and workings that he reviewed the security camera footage. He came to the conclusion that Jim was cheating.

The story’s ending: Mr Kevin openly announced that Jim had cheated, and called his parents privately to tell them about the incident and that he will be disqualified. Tim also ignored Jim and refused to accept his apology. Reflecting on this fateful incident, Jim vowed to be honest and not to ever abuse his friends like this.

Name of characters: John, Uncle Joe

Setting: Under John's block, lobby under John's block (Lost and found area)

Problem: John was walking home from school when he caught sight of a bag under a bench. He opened the bag to check for an wallet with an ID, however he found lots of money in the bag. John's jaw dropped he was very shocked by the amount of money inside. John was faced with a dilemma. Should he keep the bag filled with money or should he do the right thing and make a police report? He had to choose between a rock and a hard place. John pondered over the 2 choices, just then John remembered that his teacher and parents had always reminded him to have integrity and do the right thing even when no one was watching.

Solution: Go to the lobby and place the bag at the lost and found area, also make posters to inform the person about where the bag was placed.

Idea 1: John went to search for the person and asked around if the bag belonged to anyone.

Idea 2: John returned it to the lost and found near the lobby

Idea 3 : John made posters and kept the bag at home and waited for a phone call from the owner of the bag.

How the story ends: John made a police report and got a call from the police when they found out who the bag belonged to. John felt proud of himself and decided to always to the right thing even when no one is watching.

Setting: school, classroom

Problem: Jim had spent the entire night playing video games and the next day, realised that he had forgotten to study for the exam.

Solution: he decided to copy from Jane, the girl who sits beside him who always got full marks.

Climax: as he was copying halfway, he was caught by Ms Lim, the examiner. She was so angry that she immediately gave him a zero on the exam and called his parents

Ending: when he got home, he was scolded and punished severely by his parents. He felt regretful and vowed to never do it again

Name of Characters: Ella, her two sisters, Natalie, Xuan En and their mother

Setting: In their school

Problem: Their mother lost her job but recently found a new job far from their school and home so the four of them have to move. Ella was fine with moving but her two younger sisters Xuan En and Natalie were unwilling to and made a big fuss over it.

Solution: Magic of 3 level 3

1st idea: Just go to the school and bid their friends farewell

2nd idea: Take a few photos with their friends to remember

3rd idea: Use their mothers phone or Ella's phone to call them whenever they miss them

Climax: choose 3rd idea

How the story ends: 3rd idea and all moved out of house enrolled into a new school

Name of characters: Jane

Setting: Void deck

Problem: Jane did not have much money.

Climax: She left her house to buy food. However, she caught sight of a big black bag. She took a look inside the bag an saw a lot of money. She had a dilemma as she did not know whether to keep the money as she needed it to get by or give the bag to the police.

Solution: She decided to do the right thing. She did not want to steal.

How the story ends: Jane gave the bag of money to the police. She was proud of herself for doing the right thing and for not stealing.

Problem: Tom did not study for his math examination and only played video games

Solution: During the exam, Tom peeked at Amy's paper for the answers as he knew that Amy was the top scorer in his class.

Climax: Amy saw what had happened and decided to tell the invigilator

Conclusion: Tom learned that he should not cheat in any examination and should always be honest. As the saying goes, "Honesty is the best policy."

Problem: John was playing games until midnight and did not know that there was an examination tomorrow

Solution: Amy decided to tell the teacher about John's intentions and after the examination the teacher scolded Tom

Dilemma: Amy did not want to lose one of her friends

How does the story end: John got scolded and got 0 marks for his examination

Name of character: Sarah and Amy

Problem: Sara and Amy really wanted the branded bag as inside the bag was a lot of money and there was also a the new iPhone seventeen in the bag.

Had a dilemma if they should take the bag or give it to the information counter. If they took the bag they could have the money and the phone but they might be caught they will feel very guilty doing it but if they bring the bag to the information counter they will be doing the right thing but they will not get the money and the phone. Amy suddenly remembered her mothers word mother words to also do the right thing. Amy convinced Sarah to also do the right thing and return the bag to the information counter.

solution: Amy and Sarah returned the bag to the information counter.

Name of Characters: Tom, Nikki, Mrs Lee (invigilator)

Settling (Location): In class, during english EYE paper

Problem : Tom was having trouble with many questions and wanted to copy Nikki’s answers

Solution: he attempted to peek at her answers but invigilator caught him, at the end he decided to do it himself

Climax: Invigilator caught Tom peeking

Idea 1:Tom could leave the questions and answer them lator

Idea 2:Tom could analyse the paper more

Idea 3:Tom could try to copy Nikki’s answers

How does the story end:Tom apologised to Nikki for trying to copy her answers and he promised himself to never try to cheat again.

Name of characters: Berry, Mandy, Collete and the invigilator.

Setting: Classroom

Problem:

- Berry stayed up till late midnight playing video games and did not get sufficient rest and revision.

- Berry struggles with the exam and attempts to copy Mandy's answers.

- Collete was sitting behind the two and noticed Berry trying to copy off of Mandy's paper.

Dillema:

-Collete was Berry's best friend and was stuck in a dillema on whether or not she should tell the teacher.

Trigger:

-Collete remembered what her mother had told her and made a tough decision.

Solution:

- Collete decided to inform the invigilator of what was happening.

Climax:

- The invigilator notices Berry's attempts to copy Mandy's answers after Collete informs the invigilator of what was happening and intervenes, creating a tense moment in the classroom.

Ending:

- Berry was reprimanded by the invigilator and scored 0/100 for his end of year examinations.

Name of Characters: Johnny and Shawn

Location: Bus station

Problem: Johnny found a unattended bag on the seat at the bus station. He was tempted to take it as it was the newest designer bag from his favourite brand

Solution: he tried to find the owner by

1, putting up posters of the missing bag (unsuccessful)

2, asking around to see whether they happen to know who it belongs to (unsuccessful)

3, noticed the owner's phone number was in the bag the entire time and called it

In the end, the owner was Shawn, who had lost his bag on the way home.

Climax: got caught in a dilemma, to keep the bag or not. Returned it when he remembered his mother's words "honesty is the best policy"

In the end, Shawn felt relieved that Johnny was honest, or he might have not get his bag back anymore. When Johnny told his mother what Shawn had said, she felt proud of Johnny.

Setting:Void Deck

Problem:A women left her handbag on a bench at the void deck,forgetting to take it

Solution:Adam puts up missing posters to hope and find the women.

Climax:He was about to give up and just leave the bag there.

Dilemma:Adam was stuck in a daze as he could not decide what to do with the handbag.Should he just give up searching for the rightful owner or keep on trying to hopefuly find the owner to the handbag so the owner can stop worrying and know that the bag is safe.

M:Adam remembered in school when someone found his most precious item which contains all his past memories and gave it back to him in the same condition.

F:He felt proud of himself as he played a role in the community and help keep it a safe enviroment for everybody.

H:Adam hoped that more people with have some kindness left in them.

D:Adam decided that he would help anybody in need or need help finding an item.

Name of characters: Ava, her family, a man whose bag she took by mistake

Setting: airport overseas

Problem: Ava's family was telling her to quickly take her bag for the baggage collection counter as their taxi had arrived. But Ava took the wrong bag which looked identical to hers and went to the hotel where she was supposed to stay at. She only realised that it was the wrong bag when she opened it up.

Climax: When Ava opened the bag, she saw a branded wallet which had nothing inside and what seemed to be a brand new laptop. She wanted to keep the laptop as the one she had was broken. She decided to not take the laptop.

Magic of three:

idea one: Ava looked through the items in the bag to see if she could find anything to try and contact the owner of the bag (failed)

idea 2: Ava wanted to go on social media to ask if anyone had taken her bag by mistake. But she soon realised that it would take days or months to find her bag. (failed)

Idea 3: Ava went to the airport lost and found employee to return the bag and get back her bag (sucessful)

how does the story end: Ava meet the man whose bag she took and check if all her belongings were inside.
