One example is the song" Oh come to the Altar." This song is particularity moving because it has a flashback effect in which people tend to say that they have looked back over their life, and it soothes the soul. One of the verses in the song is telling you to “come to the altar” because God will heal and help you. The verse “our Fathers arms are open wide” lets us know that we are not alone. Concerts like this can move a person, and when everyone is worshipping it is very convincing.

These types of concerts build up emotions and everyone comes together as a family in Christ. The kind of music and spirituality are in Gospel music, Christian music, and or spirituals mainly because to me these songs touch more than just your ears, but your soul.  I feel like I relate more to the sacred harp because it is music that came from New England to the American South and I believe that slavery and field music is what makes it so moving now. When I think of sacred harp I immediately think of “get in your feelings music” for example the blues, Gospel, and spirituals. .  My second concert was a pop concert it wasn’t as moving as the first one because it was fifth harmony but , it had some convincing lyrics.

Many people also formed life long friendships and bonds with the people in their group. Because of the different things that they share either in the music or in their personal lifes.
