If emails with registration information are sent out to specific groups/clubs, or even worse, to specific people, students will become wary that they're being specifically targeted ("hey you, yeah you, with the vaping addiction!") and/or that their registration will be traceable to them. Likewise, I would advise against paper forms -- although they don't leave a digital "footprint," students may get scared that their handwriting can be traced back to them. Many schools, including mine, often have a Student Assistance Counselor who discusses drug-related issues with students who come to them. Since many students actively come to SACs to seek help through their own efforts, I would also recommend sending the form to SACs. They could then share information about the program with students of theirs who many be interested. Use of perscription medication to provide a means of stability has increased in frequency, especially in the town of Somers where there are many athletes and many prone to injury. This has led to misuse of OTC's and other drugs. I believe there has been excessive daily use of sleeping medications, Tylonels, and other medications that are not adult monitered. Besides this, there is also use of weed that has been promoted on social media platforms. I think that counselors should make trips to each class or assemblies *with student athletes, S.A.A.S.A club members, and other classmen who care*.
