Write a fact to back up your thinking. IE. The crop Sweet potatoes have had a good influence. On a scale of 1-5, I would give them a 5. According to foodreference.com over 2.4 billion pounds are sold yearly in the US. They are packed with calcium, potassium, and vitamins A and C making them a superfood. They have been used throughout history to better mankind for instance George Washington Carver worked extensively with the sweet potato. He developed 118 different products from sweet potatoes, including a mucilage for postal stamps, an economic method for sizing cotton fabrics, dehydrated food and an alternative to corn syrup.

I rate smallpox 5 out of 5 bad for it's devastating influence on the Native Americans. Small pox is no longer a threat in the United States, but when Columbus came over with this disease the results were devastating. Europeans were immune to smallpox by the time Columbus arrived in the Americas. Devastating European diseases killed almost 90% of the Native Americans. Out of this 90% half of their population was wiped out by smallpox. Smallpox causes victims to experience small bumps, blisters, scars, fever, malaise, chills, headaches, vomiting, and pain in the back or muscles. Smallpox was extremely contagious and spread like wildfire through native tribes. This disease caused infected to lose strength so quickly that sick tribes could not bury their dead let alone care for their own health needs. Smallpox was also the only disease used to purposely decrease population of Native Americans. During the Seven Year War Europeans purposely gave the Native Americans smallpox infected blankets to lessen the native population. Nowadays vaccines are used to prevent smallpox, but if someone were not to take the vaccine and contract it there is no cure.

On a scale of 1-5 I would rate sheep a 4 a good influence to south america. This is because of all the things sheep can produce for example sheep can have one to three lambs every five to six months, sheep wool can not light on fire, and sheep are plant eaters witch means they could be turned out onto a small grassy amout of land. Also sheep meat can be cooked in many ways. One it can be boiled grilled or fryed and can even be made into jerky for long trips. This is why I would rate sheep a 4. But not all mayans ate sheep

I would rate peanuts, on a 1-5 scale, 4, good in The Columbian Exchange to the East because peanuts have lots of monounsaturated fats, the kind of fats that are used for energy. Peanuts are also heavy in protein, which is needed to build muscle and is an essential in a healthy diet. Peanuts also greatly influenced the way eastern chefs cook, as they were sometimes served raw like an appetizer, and that is still done today. (Think Texas Roadhouse) Peanuts were also used as a topping, and of course, everyone knows about peanut butter, even though the process of roasting peanuts and butter was not patented by The Kellogg Brothers until 1895. While some might rate peanuts lower because of allergies, remember, you cannot develop a allergy in your bloodline until there is exposure to it, so it would have taken 3 to 4 generations for a allergy to develop.

On a scale of 1-5 I believe that bananas are a 4 out 5 of a good influence to the west. Bananas help depression and is a mood neurotransmitter, that can make you happier from the serotonin in the banana. Bananas also can also protect against childhood leukemia, type II diabetes, and strengthen the nervous system. Bananas can lower blood pressure and protect against heart attacks because of the potassium levels of the banana. Bananas have vitamins, minerals and fiber which can help you with your digestion. Atheletes like cyclists deal with endurance, banana's helps them with riding longer because of the natural sugars that can sustain energy. This is why I would rate the banana 4 out of 5 for the west.

From what I say, I think that Cacao is a 3 / 5 good influence to the people of the west. I think this because cacao makes chocolate, but chocolate is very unhealthy. I say that it is good because it stores lots of calories for the Mayans to gain when it comes to eating them. Cacao could be used for trade back then in the Mayan economy. Cacao were a lot like cocoa beans. Cacao grew on trees as a large shell that stored lots of cacao beans. These shells looked a lot like this. (Image below)

In 2014 9.6 million people were killed. Some symptoms are fever, weight loss, and night sweats. Tuberculosis is spread by airborne droplets. Some of the treatments are Ethambutol and Rifapentine.

I give cattle a 4 out of 5 good influence on the people of South America. At first cattle were seen as bad because they ate all of the Native American crops they had planted. They had found that cattle had many benefits. Some examples are people can eat the cows meat, they provided hides and transportation. Now cattle are still used for meat but now they are used for milk too

Here are the main symptoms of Yellow Fever, yellow eyes and skin. The side effects of Yellow Fever are Pain in the stomach, muscles, chills, a fever and loss of appetite. Yellow Fever can not be cured, but some treatments can help. You can get a vaccine recamended for children 9 and older and for adults, to help stop Yellow fever. No treatment was actually made for this Fever, but doctor recommended treatments will help.

Malaria is a bite of an infected mosquito and characterize by the chills and a fever. Some of the other symptoms are sweating and other possible signs are headaches and vomiting. Some of the whole body are chills, fatigue, fever, night sweat or just sweating. Treatments like antibiotics and antimalarial, but some medicines used may not work because the parasite will resist them.

Which gave them a better community.

It causes high fever, you can get it from body lice, fleas, mites, and ticks. When arthropods bite someone they may leave the bacteria that cause typhus behind. Scratching the bite opens the skie and allows the bacteria to enter the bloodstream.
