I love that the plans don’t look “pretty” they are real. Real “doing the work” before asking the kids to do it. It is messy and the best work is real, in the moment, and authentic. When we put in the work to really understand the standards and possible misconceptions, then the in the moment teaching is much more effective. -Bohanon

Sometimes I get so excited about all the math strategies, connections, and learning taking place I don’t spend enough time on the share and teach. Thanks Kelly for sharing!

Teaching Math is fun! My experiences from learning math the past several years have come directly from learning from my students and staff who have been vulnerable to sharing their knowledge and passion. Stronger collaboration in teams could also help develop misconceptions. Also sharing from Math Solutions when staff have gone to these PDs can help develop all of our Mathmatical understanding.
