The photograph displays a modest, simple composition  and appearance of stones(leading Lines) it's black & White, so the dark background frames the whites stones brilliantly. His sensitivity to material, texture, form and light.”


* What is the subject matter?

Of Stone's leading(lines) the viewer through, on a dark background.


* what concept or idea do you 
 think the photographer was  trying to portray with the  photograph ?

The subject shows, a balanced plain, distinct, basic and modest introduction to the photograph. Making use of an ideally simplistic notion of the use (Silver Gelatin) photography and therory at the time. Also  focusing on pattern, light, and structure(White stones & Dark earthy tone).

* Do you think the photographer    was successful in translating  these thoughts into visual form?

The construct and basis visually  (Photograph) makes use of the ability,  expertise and artistry of camera obscura  And relys on pattern, texture and shape.

* Did the photograph have an impact on you the first time you saw it? what emotions did it bring?.

The simple idea of using light and dark to highlight any subject matter. Also utilising the promise visually experimenting with the feel of patterns, shape and texture.
