Participants wear decorative, colorful costumes made out of, cardboard,  crepe paper, beads, feathers, sequins and plastic jewels. The style of the music is called goombay. It combines brass instruments,  goatskin drums, cowbells, gourds, conches, and whistles! At the end, prizes are given out for the best dancing, costumes, and music.
