Moving forward to Grade 10, I was privileged to share the same elective as Master Martin: LifeSci. His presentations were amazingly underprepared, but his calm composure and fertile breeding voice made him enjoyable to watch. Martin was truly the epitome of an ideal man, no matter what LifeSci taught.

Regrettably, I was PM STEM for Grades 11 and 12 and we were separated by schedule, yet of course God could only keep us away for so long. My time spent together with Master Martin in the Round Table, his dominant fetal stance and bare feet for all to see established his presence in the sacred area. Master Martin always keeps the discussions lively and fun, with at times very questionable takes. Even if my time spent with Master Martin has been relatively short, I always consider him an esteemed friend and he is welcome to buy me food every lunch ;))))

I've always romanticized meeting strangers. I've longed for the movie-like experience of meeting someone new, connecting for just a comement, and leaving with life-changing, trajectory-shifting advice and the gumption to change the world.

What I didn't realize is that this isn't really possible or realistic, and that's 100% okay. I've accepted that the rare moments that we bump into each other is just as good. There's never a dull moment when I spend time with you, no small talk; either just goofing off or profound soul-searching. From goofing around with leaf witch brooms, to losing in ML, to all the pandemic hijinks we pulled and try to not remember again, you really have an unnatural talent for maximizing how much joy you can provide to people in such short bursts of time.

Thank you for being so lowkey and unexpected, and yet so invisibly there when I needed you.

Here's to more times when you're met unexpectedly, when and where people need you the most.

Thank you for making my quarantine life way less boring and giving me a way to socialize. You and the rest of my friend groups were the sole reason I didn't go insane before coming back to in person classes.

I was lucky to be classmates with you in grade 10 because you were my only friend in Electron (and you're still one of my only close friends from that section) and I certainly would have been lonely if you weren't there for me. Thank you for all the times you wrote my deadname for me in our res journal and the times you stuck up for me during requirements. Thanks also for being a badminton and ping pong buddy to me during our free times, those matches were some of my only sources of exercise that I actually enjoyed (fuck swimming). You were definitely one of the highlights of that school year and you made it much more bearable. When I remember Grade 10 I also remember those memories and I think it wasn't too bad.

Last summer I was really happy to get close with you again and meet cmh and your other friends because of those valorant matches. Thanks to you again I didn't have a super fucking boring summer. Having those late night gaming sessions really gave me a reason to keep getting up and on my laptop every day whether to play aimlabs or learn phasmo strats. This was also around the time I started having those deeper convos and connections with u guys in voice chat and I really cherish those memories and I'm glad you were there for them.

Last na random pero I was also really touched when you added me as one of the writers for your testimonials LOL maybe it wasn't as big a deal for you but I really appreciated that gesture bc only a few other people listed me as a writer and no one made me a point person so seeing that notif that I was a writer for your testim was a really pleasant surprise.

I hope you enjoy your birthday dude, cmh spent a long time preparing for it (and going over logistics with joshua and i) make sure to thank her profusely after !!

it's honestly amazing how you were able to keep up with all my rants; my stupid ass always making issues out of stupid stuff. i still remember all those times i would send some long ass message and you'd somehow outdo me and type something even longer as a response. good advice or not, i still take all that to heart until now LOL. you were truly a DRIVING FORCE in pushing me towards where i am now and thank you sooo much for that :}

most people get to learn about a soul through sheer time and experience but i haven't really been granted that privilege with marty. i have, however, been able to get a glimpse of martin through the scope of his lifechanging relationship with cmh. i mean shit, sometimes it feels like IM dating martin. anyway, of what i've seen, i've seen the most caring and understanding (sometimes to a fault) boy who has always strived to just make the people around him happy and to get better at the things he loves to do. thank you for this last year of friendship!! it's made me learn a lot about love and about people
