The past two weeks have been very difficult since the death of an unarmed black man, George Floyd. 

During this quarantine, I have heard a lot of racism that is so inhumane. 

I thought people were better than this. 

This world is slowly falling apart with all the violence that is happening.

Judging someone because of their color or race is just horrific and the causes of deaths are even more horrific. 

We’re all God’s creations and we just have to love and appreciate each other for who we are. At the end of the day we are the same on the inside just different on the outside and that is okay. You are all beautiful in your own way. That’s why racism has to be stopped immediately!

So if we just all get together through a platform, a peaceful protest or whatever you can use to spread the word, we can change some history for the next generation! 

We can help save black lives! No more violence! This is the year of change! We may be young, but it’s part of our lives, our history and it needs to stop once and for all!

Help make this world a better place. We need justice for black lives because they matter just as much as white lives. 

We need equality, not racism. So with our young voices let’s make a difference because we need it!

George Floyd. A man, and a father, whose life was ended because of the color of his skin. Why black people? What makes them lesser than whites? How is it that they are so bad, they don’t deserve to have a life? No person should have to live, knowing that at any time they could be falsely accused, harassed, or worse. The little worries we have, such as not making first place, or not getting a good grade, don’t even compare to the worries of people of color. They may not be able to walk down the street at night without a police stopping them. Or being falsely accused of committing a crime. 

We, as people with privilege, need to step up and be heard. Support BLM, and help the people being targeted. We all have a voice, and we all need to use it. Even starting with the little things. We can interrupt offensive jokes, and call people out for it. Tell people, “Hey! That was really rude of you. Why did you do that?” Not only does this protect and assure the victim, but it makes the racist one uncomfortable and guilty. We of all colors should have equal rights and should be treated as people, and not garbage. Help these people by taking a stand, and not being shy, because all lives matter.

I think people should know that not only black people aren’t happy with what is going on. Many white people are protesting against racism. Another thing that people should be aware of is that not every white police officer is racist and some are even protesting against this. Just because some can be aggressive, it doesn’t mean that every police officer is the same. This is a stereotype that isn't true and we should know that everyone is different and we all have different opinions.

A couple weeks ago, an unarmed black man named George Floyd died when a police man leaned his knee on Floyd’s neck during an arrest. Many people were protesting in the streets a little while after and some people even got violent. In my opinion, protesting was okay but being violent won’t solve anything. People can be angry because of his death but violence isn’t good and some people even got arrested.

Many black people have been dying because of racism over the past few years and this had to stop. In my opinion, what police officers are currently doing to black people is unacceptable. Racism has to end and we should all be treated equally in everyday life. Black people shouldn’t have to worry about going to the store and being arrested for no reason. Everyone should be equal and black lives matter.

As a privileged white female, I will speak up about what’s happening…

Its makes me wonder how people can be so cruel to each other, what has this world become. All I ever wanted was to have a safe peaceful world, where everyone can get along. I guess not. I am tired of seeing posts on social media of black people dying. Not because I don’t agree that Black lives matter, I do agree that it does matter. But because I hate seeing that black lives are killed or harassed. Why you may ask? It’s not right how racist people kill or harass black lives because of their skin. We are all human and black lives aren’t aliens or a different species. They ARE THE SAME, just a different skin tone. I don’t get what the harm is about being different, being different is good! We all shouldn’t look the same and act the same. But I’m not trying to talk about all of us. I’m trying to talk about black lives. Not just black people but white people on social media are saying black lives matter (BLM). Now some people are confused about BLM so I’m gonna tell you why you should be saying BLM. We should ALL be saying black lives matter because they are the ones in harm right now not us privileged white people. Racism against black has been going on for thousands of years it needs to stop! We should all be treated the same and right now we are fighting for equal rights for the black. I hate when people say all lives matter. All lives do matter but why would you bring that up when black lives are in harm.  As a white female, I know that I have a privilege for my skin tone and that’s why I am speaking out! Black lives should be having the privilege as well! I will not allow for this to continue. Society today needs to change, and we privileged white people should be helping the black community because that’s how the change is gonna happen!
