I interact with Tik Tok on my phone daily. My main page is made up of entertainment, news, art and more. My main reason for using this app is for entertainment and watching fast paced videos that make me laugh. But there is also a lot on Tik Tok that provides me with news on current events and opinion based dialogue about these events or even clips from the news channel.

Reading Lyrics

The most used app on my phone is definitely Spotify. I am constantly listening to music, whether Im at home, communting, studying or at work. I often read the lyrics, especially when listening to new music and Spotify has the lyrics to each song available to view. I read along as the song plays and try to memorize the words. As the song plays the lyrics are highlighted so you can see what words are being sung.

Instagram

I use Instagram frequently as a source of entertainment, viewing my friends lives, finding new places to visit in NYC and more. I read posts, messages and comments on Instagram. I follow accounts that post informational videos, articles, recipes as well as entertainment . I read and listen to these posts everyday.

My Parents House

At my home I don't have cable tv. When I visit my parents is when I am exposed and interact with the news channel. They usually have it on in the living room, not this month though because we all need a break right now, but usually the news is on. I sit with my Dad and watch, listen and read what is being broadcasted.

Reading Assignments

Throughout my time in school, there has been many assignments where I am asked to read articles, plays, parts of books and more. When I don't print out my work, which I usually do, I read it off of my computer. I find reading long passages on a screen very difficult, but there has been times I am unable to print or I am communting where I end up needed to read it digitally.

Texting

I ma texting everyday and usually all day. Texting messages to friends and family. Using both formal and informal text to communicate effectively as well as reading and decoding messages that I receive.
