Rhine is staying at Linden's uncles home.His name is Reed. He's the opposite of House master Vaughn which is something that Rhine likes. She helps around the gain the right  to be in his home. Linden tells Rhine that she is free from him. He is okay with her leaving. Cecily lost her second baby alone in the hospital. Linden still doesn't believe that his father could do all of those bad things to the ones he loves. Linden believes that Rhine is filling Cecily head with the evil thoughts.

Rhine reminds him of his dead true love. He knows that Rhine never loved him. He is lost on what to believe in from what he has learned about his father.
Rhine- She is a twin of her brother. She is determined to find him again. She loves her sister wives very much, but she wants to leave her life.She fell in love with Gabriel, but she had to leave him in order to keep him and all of the orphans from dying. 
Housemaster Vaughn- He is trying to find a cure for the disease. He tried to use Rhine as an experiment on her to find a cure. He killed Rose nd granddaughter...Everybody is afraid of him. He owns most of the hospitals that are trying to help find a solution. 
Gabriel- Is the servant who left with Rhine. He wanted to hep Rhine because he promised he would stick with her. He does really care about her.
