Human Dignity is the rights given by God that cannot be taken away that every person possess (St. Thomas Aquinas and St. John XXIII). Life starts at conception and continues until natural death. All people are born in the image and likeness of God so all humans are inherently good (St. Thomas Aquinas). We are also all worthy of respect due to this (St. Agustine).

Abortion

Abortion is the intentional killing of a human fetus. Abortion violates the principles of Human Dignity. The Church states that life starts at conception and ends at natural death. Life must be protected and respected no matter what stage of life that person is in. With this in mind, abortion is murder.
