We are writing to you from the year 2025, a time when the world is facing serious environmental challenges. Climate change isn’t just a warning anymore, it’s happening all around us. Wildfires, floods, and extreme weather are becoming more common. Pollution is everywhere, and many species are disappearing. We know the science, yet too often, people choose convenience over sustainability.

Still, not everyone is ignoring the problem. Many of us (especially young people) are speaking up, pushing for change, and trying to protect what’s left. We’re working on solutions, from renewable energy to reducing waste, but change takes time. I hope that by 2050, these efforts have made a difference. That clean air and water are normal. That nature is thriving. That you don’t have to fight the same battles we do.

If the world is better now, please don’t take it for granted. And if it’s not, don’t stop fighting for it. The planet isn’t just ours. It’s yours too.

Sincerely,
A group of teens in an Etwinning project, from 2025

-by Lukas Kovačić

Hey. I’m writing this in 2025, and honestly, I don’t know what the world looks like for you right now. I hope it’s better. I hope the air is clean, the oceans aren’t full of plastic, and summers don’t feel like we’re living inside an oven. Because right now? Things aren’t great. Wildfires, floods, pollution—climate change isn’t a “future problem” anymore. It’s happening. And the worst part? We know what’s causing it, but too many people still choose to ignore it.

But not all of us. A lot of young people are fighting for change—protesting, raising awareness, doing everything we can to fix what older generations messed up. We don’t want to just talk about saving the planet. We actually want to do it. But sometimes, it feels like we’re screaming into the void while those in power keep making the same mistakes.

I hope, wherever you are, that things turned out okay. That our efforts meant something. And if they didn’t—please keep fighting. The world is worth it.

With hope,
A Teen from 2025

- by Dorja Benković

I am writing from the year 2025, and I'm disapointed to say our world is in a state of near ruin. The air, water and land are polluted, the water levels are rising, and natural disasters are abundant. It's only March and it's 25 degrees Celsius, whereas only five years ago that was considered summer weather.

We're working on lessening the influence of climate change, but it feels like we're making little to no progress, and I sincerely believe it's because the majority of the fault lies with our upper classes. The average person produces 4 tons of carbon yearly, but Elon Musk, a multi-billionare, produces close to 5 thousand tons of carbon in that same time, 1250x the first number. Large companies produce far more. Therefore, the fault doesn't lie with you, but the responsibility for your future does.

It's hardly fair. The greed of large corporations and billionares will be the end of the world as you know it, but you cannot lose hope, and you must be determined in your efforts to halt the destruction of our ecosystems. Only you and we, as people, can stop this by spreading information, protesting and partaking in lectures or workshops. Please fight for your future, because no one else will.

With regards to the future,

An adolescent in the midst of climate change.

-by Vita Cepanec

We are witnessing and experiencing first-hand global warming, the melting of glaciers and therefore the rise in sea levels; but also deforestation and the extinction of many animal species.

I ask you please treat it well, try to reduce pollution, use more renewable energy such as water or wind and less non-renewable energy such as oil. Avoid cutting down trees because this way you take away the home of animals and avoid increasing global warming because this way you will increase the extinction of animals

Dear future generations...

Hello! I have been writing to you since 2025. Unfortunately, the world is very polluted nowadays. In fact, most children today do almost nothing to reduce pollution. Many species of plants and animals have become extinct and there are even islands of plastic in the sea. Since YOU are our future, you have to make the world clean again as it was before. One piece of advice I give you is to recycle, reduce the use of plastic, like starting to use cloth bags, and start riding a bike again. These were some of my tips. I hope my tips were useful to you.

I hope you are well and with a clean world. Bye Bye!

Dear 2050,

this is 2025 speaking. I'm writing this to you because I am concerned for how long our world will last when there's this many problems: deforestation, pollution of all kinds, overexertion...just to name a few. The people in this year are trying to fix what has happened in the past by re-planting trees, planting flowers and trying to use renewable Energy sources. But we only have what we have in this moment when we talk about Technology. Yet you, literally, are living in the future. You must have higher chances to solve these problems regarding our Earth's health. Use your wits to help this world, we in 2025 can only do damage control and try our best to make it easier for you. Please, we are begging that you hear our message. No one wants to live in a dead/dying world. Bring life back to our Earth because it is such a gorgeous planet with such fascinating creatures. I could only imagine how bad it might get if we don't take action. I will do what I can as the year 2025 but in 9 months 2026 shall take over. Hopefully it also tries it's best to help. There is still hope which is fueling most people's desire to help make the grass greener, the sky clearer and the Waters as beautiful and clean as they were when the Earth was in its prime. If that hope isn't enough, think about the quality of your life if pollution gets worse. Imagine needing to wear a mask or having to have an air filter just to breathe. Or having to have a water filter installed to just have clean water to drink. Or even having worse quality food when soil gets sprayed with all those weird liquids which will make false promises of better plants. It certainly doesn't sound very appealing now, does it? And if even all of that isn't enough of a reason...then I really don't Know what can help you, 2050. You won't be a very nice year, that's for sure. And it wouldn't be a year I'd like to live in. Hopefully this will light a little spark of motivation in you at the very least. This is all I will write for now. I wish you recieve this letter as soon as possible.

Sincerely

-Eva S.

I’m 7th grade student and I’m writing to you from 2025. My problem is that our world has many problems. I want to talk about ecological problem.

Many people don’t know how to look after our planet - Earth. Our Mother Earth has been destroying and polluting by their children. Our problem is: deforestation, different species of pollutions, drastic global warming, rising oceans, endangered wildlife animals etc. We want the change but it’s hard to suddenly change all our habits. I hope that you’ll been doing better changes. Let’s talk about problems.

Deforestation:

Many companies are cutting trees, because they need more area and wood for buildings and paper, but are they really need it so badly? They are destroying ecosystems, home of animals and nature. Poor animals have to run away from their home and find another. Wildlife is frightened so I feel sorry for them. Please change it. You - people from future - can change that. Don’t do deforestation and look after ecosystems and wild animals.

Different species of pollutions:

In 2025 they are many pollutions. Air pollution, water pollution… people throw away rubbish to oceans - it’s terrible! Seas have got polluted and we have a lot of trash in the water. Animals in the oceans and seas (for example: fishes, dolphins, rays, orcs) get entangled in garbage and they’ve been hurt. So dear future people, don’t throw garbage into oceans! Recycle it! Sort it! You can reuse recyclable waste. Think about it!

Drastic global warming and rising seas and oceans:

It will be my last problem what I’m talking about. Above reasons are driving global warming. It’s sad that people are destroying their own planet. They are throwing waste into forests, seas, rivers etc… they burn furnace in the furnace (but it’s forbidden in European Union) but Europe is small continent so we can’t solve the problem ourselves. I beg you, to change the climate, change the thinking of people about ecology! If you’ll be like we now - all glaciers will melt and sea level will be higher, higher and higher, so cities over the seas and oceans can be flooded. Please, think about your behaviour. You can change yourselves by plant trees, recycle garbage, look after animals - there is only few things you can do.

So it’s all I wanted to say to you. Thanks for listening to me. Climate change is very important topic because if we don’t start big change now - who knows what will be in next decades?

Bartłomiej Kubacki, First Primary School in Przyszowa, Poland

17.03.2025

Dear People of the Future,

I hope this letter finds you in a world where the environment has been healed and our planet is thriving. As I write to you, we are living in a time when the Earth is facing many challenges that threaten its health and the well-being of all living creatures.

One of the biggest issues we are facing is pollution. Our oceans are filled with plastic waste, our air is polluted by carbon emissions, and our lands are covered in trash. This pollution harms wildlife, plants, and even us, as it seeps into the food we eat and the water we drink. Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste end up in the ocean, affecting marine life and ecosystems. We are trying to make a change, but the situation remains dire.

The effects of climate change are becoming more evident every day. The planet’s temperature is rising, causing extreme weather events like heatwaves, storms, floods, and droughts. Ice caps are melting, sea levels are rising, and countless species are struggling to survive in an increasingly unstable climate. Many regions are experiencing more frequent and intense wildfires, and vulnerable communities are being displaced by natural disasters.

Deforestation is also a critical issue. Forests, which are vital for maintaining biodiversity and regulating the climate, are being cut down at an alarming rate. This not only contributes to climate change but also leads to the destruction of habitats for countless species. Trees play an essential role in absorbing carbon dioxide, and with fewer forests, we are losing one of the Earth’s most valuable resources.

The loss of biodiversity is another grave concern. Many species are becoming endangered or extinct due to habitat destruction, hunting, pollution, and climate change. Every day, we lose species that have existed for millions of years, and once they are gone, we can never get them back. This loss affects the balance of ecosystems and the health of the planet as a whole.

Despite these challenges, there is still hope. People around the world are coming together to fight for a healthier planet. Many are working to reduce waste, embrace renewable energy, plant trees, and protect wildlife. We are also seeing a growing movement for sustainable living, where we try to reduce our impact on the planet and live in harmony with nature.

As you read this letter, I hope you can see the progress that has been made. Perhaps you have found solutions to the problems we face today, or maybe you’ve discovered new ways to live more sustainably and protect the Earth. My greatest hope is that you live in a world where the damage we have done is being repaired, and the future is brighter for all.

Please continue the work that we have started, and protect this beautiful planet for generations to come. We are relying on you.

With hope for a better future,
A Concerned Citizen from the Present

Dear future generations I'm writing to you from 2025.I hope this message reaches you in a time of prosperity and harmony. As I write these lines, our planet is facing a moment of great changes and challenges. Earth, with its natural beauty and diversity, is confronting significant problems that affect the lives of all living beings.

Climate change is one of our greatest concerns. Global temperatures are rising, causing extreme weather events such as more powerful hurricanes, prolonged droughts, and devastating floods. The loss of biodiversity is alarming; many animal and plant species are at risk of extinction due to habitat destruction and pollution.

Moreover, social and economic inequalities persist. Many people struggle to access basic resources such as clean water, food, and education. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the vulnerabilities of our health systems and has profoundly affected our communities.

Despite these challenges, there is hope. Every day, we see individuals and organizations working tirelessly to protect the environment, promote social justice, and build a more sustainable future. Innovation and technology are opening new pathways to address our problems, and more and more people are becoming aware of the importance of caring for our planet.

I write to you with the hope that, in your time, you have found effective solutions and learned from our experiences.

I am writing to you from the year [current year]. The world you will inherit is one full of both great beauty and deep challenges. I hope that by the time you read this letter, you have been able to overcome many of the obstacles we are facing today, and I want to share what our planet is like right now and what I hope for your future.

Right now, our planet is struggling with pollution that poisons our air, oceans, and land. Plastics are found everywhere, even in places where they shouldn't be, like in the stomachs of animals in the sea. Air pollution from factories, cars, and power plants makes it harder for people to breathe, and it harms the climate as well. Climate change is one of our biggest challenges. We are seeing more extreme weather events, like hurricanes, wildfires, and droughts, and it’s becoming harder to predict and prepare for these changes.

Deforestation is another serious issue. Every day, we are losing precious forests that provide oxygen, protect wildlife, and help balance the Earth’s climate. Animals that depend on these forests, like orangutans and tigers, are now endangered because of habitat destruction. The loss of biodiversity is also worrying—many species are disappearing at a rate we have never seen before.

But despite these challenges, I believe there is hope. We can still change things if we act quickly and responsibly. My wish for the future is that you have found ways to heal the Earth, perhaps by finding cleaner energy sources, planting more trees, and changing the way we use plastic. I hope that you are living in a world where people care deeply for the environment and work together to protect it. I also hope that you have built cities and communities that are in harmony with nature, where people and wildlife can thrive together.

Dear People of the Future,

We are writing to you from the year 2025, a time when our planet is struggling with numerous environmental challenges. Our Earth is facing an unprecedented crisis, and we want to make sure that you, in the future, understand what we are dealing with right now.

First and foremost, pollution is one of the most visible and pressing issues. Cities and industrial areas are filled with smog, and plastic waste has become a constant presence in our oceans, rivers, and landscapes.limate change is another major crisis that we are grappling with. Rising global temperatures are melting polar ice caps, causing sea levels to rise and threatening coastal communities. Extreme weather events.Deforestation is destroying the lungs of our planet—forests that provide oxygen, habitat for wildlife, and vital ecosystem services. Every year, vast areas of rainforests are cut down to make way for agriculture, logging, and mining. This loss of biodiversity is devastating. We have already seen species of plants and animals go extinct, and countless others are now endangered or on the brink of disappearing forever. We are facing these challenges because of human activities: our reliance on fossil fuels, unsustainable farming practices, and a culture of consumption. But we know that change is possible. There are efforts being made around the world to slow down the damage, such as renewable energy initiatives, wildlife protection programs, and global agreements to curb emissions.

Nasima

Dear Future Generations,

I hope this letter finds you well in a world that has learned from the past and embraced a sustainable future. As I write to you from the year 2025, I feel a mix of hope and concern about the state of our planet. I want to share with you the environmental challenges we face today, as well as my hopes for the future.

Currently, our planet is grappling with severe issues such as pollution, climate change, deforestation, and the alarming decline of endangered species. Air and water pollution have reached critical levels in many areas, affecting the health of both people and wildlife. Climate change is causing extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and shifting ecosystems, threatening the delicate balance of life on Earth.

Dear Future Generations,

Today, as I write these words, I find myself filled with mixed emotions. Hope and uncertainty coexist in my heart, and one thought crosses my mind again and again: the world we live in today is just a moment in the vast river of time. You, those who come after us, will be the heirs of all that we have done, for better or for worse, and you will be responsible for shaping the days to come. Although I cannot predict with certainty what the world will be like in your time, what I do know is that you will live in a time full of possibilities, but also of challenges.

Today, our society faces a series of challenges that we cannot ignore. We live in an era of rapid change, where technology advances at a dizzying pace, social structures are reconfigured, and environmental problems grow increasingly severe. Despite the innovations, division and inequality remain dark shadows in our path. Climate change, loss of biodiversity, economic and political crises, and struggles for human rights continue to shape the daily pulse. But there are also moments of light, moments when humanity comes together to face these problems, to create solutions, to offer hope. And it is in these moments that I place my trust in you.

It’s possible that by the time you read these words, circumstances may have changed in ways we can’t even imagine. Perhaps the advancements that seem out of reach today will be everyday realities for you. Or maybe the struggles we face today, such as global warming or social inequalities, will continue to be persistent problems, though with a glimmer of hope on the horizon. What I want you to know is that, despite the challenges, there is always the possibility to change the course, there is always room for improvement. And that change begins with each one of us, with our decisions and our everyday actions.

The future is something we all build together, although each generation does so in its own unique way. You, the generations to come, indeed have a great responsibility, but also enormous power. The power to transform the world, to question established structures, to create new ways of living, thinking, and feeling. Throughout our history, we’ve seen how humanity faces great crises, and although we often fall, we always rise, we always find ways to move forward. Do not be discouraged by the obstacles you face. Remember that in every difficulty, there is also an opportunity.

If there is something I want you to learn from us, it is that true change does not always come from grand acts or revolutions, though they are important. Often, the deepest change comes from the small, everyday actions. The act of being kind, of listening, of showing compassion, of caring for nature, of defending what is just. These are the foundations upon which the most lasting changes are built. Never underestimate the power of a kind gesture, of a conscious decision that favors the collective well-being, of an effort to understand one another. The future depends on those invisible but essential moments, which are the true strength of our humanity.

From the deepest part of my being, I wish that the world you build will be one of peace, respect, and collaboration. A place where differences are not a reason for division, but for mutual enrichment. A world where the rights of every human being are respected, where every voice has value, and every life is appreciated. A world in which technology not only serves to ease our lives, but to unite us, to heal the planet, to cure inequalities, and to foster education and understanding among all people.

I cannot help but worry about the state of our planet. At this moment, climate change is threatening entire ecosystems, and the species we share the Earth with are at risk of extinction. You, who will live in the coming decades, will be the guardians of the biodiversity that remains. I sincerely hope that you have learned to live in a more harmonious way with the Earth, that you have found sustainable solutions to care for our oceans, our forests, and our atmosphere. My greatest wish is that the human footprint on the planet will be one of respect, not destruction.

The technologies we have developed, although wonderful, can also be dangerous if not used responsibly. Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, renewable energy—all are powerful tools that can transform the world, but they must always be guided by solid ethical principles. Do not allow greed, selfishness, or unchecked power to take the reins. You have the opportunity to use these tools to build a future where equity, justice, and sustainability are the most important values.

And although I trust in your ability to face these challenges, I want to remind you that progress is not just about achieving material or technological goals. True progress is measured in the emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of every human being. I hope that, when you look back, you will see that we not only cared about machines, cities, or natural resources, but also about human bonds, dignity, and respect between all people. May love, empathy, and solidarity be the foundations upon which you build your society. Because, at the end of the day, it is human relationships that give life true meaning.

I leave these words to you not as a burden, but as an act of trust. I trust in you because, though I may not know you, I know that within each of you lies the same capacity to dream and to fight for a better world. I trust that, just as we have, you will find strength in difficult moments, learn from your mistakes, and value the small things that truly matter: nature, family, friends, love, and peace.

The future is yours to build. And although we may not be there to see the fruits of your labor, I trust that you will do something extraordinary. Keep moving forward with courage, with wisdom, and with a heart full of hope. Do not forget that, although the path may be long, every step you take counts, and every action can make a difference.

With all my respect, admiration, and trust in you.

Dear Future,

I’m writing these words to you from 2025, hoping that everything has improved by the time you read them. Today, climate change has become one of the most pressing issues we face. The warming of the atmosphere, rising sea levels, and increasing natural disasters are affecting our daily lives. We, the current generation, are aware of this crisis and trying to take action. But at times, we wonder: Did we move fast enough?

People today are doing their best to protect the environment. There are efforts to transition to renewable energy, reduce plastic use, engage in ecological farming, and live more sustainably. However, there is still a significant lack of awareness globally, and powerful interest groups continue to resist these changes.

In 2025, many scientists and environmental activists are still fighting to save the planet. In this struggle, if our generation can succeed, we hope to leave a better world for you. Or maybe it will be too late. We don’t know. What is the world like in your time? Did we leave you with a beautiful nature? Or did we consume everything, leaving you with no hope?

If we can make a difference today, it is only to give you a glimpse of hope. We hope that, by the time you live in the future, you will be more conscious, more responsible, and live your life in a way that helps the planet. Maybe, if we succeed, you will still have the chance to live on a safe and thriving Earth.

The efforts we started in 2025, we hope, will turn into a powerful and lasting future. We are doing everything we can to leave you with hope.

With love...

Dear People of the Future,

I hope this letter finds you well in a world that has been shaped by both our successes and our mistakes. As I write to you today, I can’t help but reflect on the current state of our planet. It is a time of great concern, yet also one of hope and determination.

Right now, the Earth is facing many serious challenges. Pollution is spreading across the land, sea, and sky. The air we breathe in many places is filled with harmful chemicals, and our oceans are choking on plastic. The earth beneath us is being damaged by deforestation, where beautiful forests are being destroyed at an alarming rate. This loss of forests threatens countless species of plants and animals, many of which are now endangered. The damage to our ecosystems has caused a drastic imbalance in nature.

Another pressing issue is climate change. Our planet’s temperatures are rising, leading to extreme weather patterns, melting ice caps, and rising sea levels. These changes have already begun to disrupt the lives of millions of people, animals, and plants around the world. The threat of natural disasters, such as wildfires, floods, and droughts, is becoming more frequent and severe, and it’s clear that if we don’t act now, the situation could become even more dire.

But despite these challenges, there is hope. We still have time to change our course and make a difference. If we can unite, we have the power to restore balance to our planet and secure a sustainable future for you and future generations.

First and foremost, we must commit to taking better care of our environment. This means reducing pollution by transitioning to cleaner forms of energy, cutting back on waste, and embracing recycling and sustainable practices. We need to plant more trees and protect the forests that are still standing, as they are vital to our survival. Governments, organizations, and individuals must come together to protect endangered species and restore biodiversity. It’s essential that we promote conservation efforts and create protected areas where animals and plants can thrive.

We must also take action against climate change by reducing carbon emissions and investing in green technologies. Renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar, and hydroelectric power, need to become the norm, and fossil fuels should gradually be phased out. By changing the way we live, travel, and consume, we can reduce our ecological footprint and work toward a cleaner, healthier Earth.

My hope for you, the future generations, is that you will look back on this moment in time as a turning point. I hope you will see that we learned from our mistakes and made the right choices. You deserve a world where nature flourishes, where pollution is minimized, and where harmony between humans and the planet is achieved.

The advice I’d like to offer is this: always value the Earth, for it is our home. Cherish the environment, protect the creatures that share it with us, and understand that every small action matters. As you go forward, let your decisions be guided by sustainability and respect for the natural world. Work together, think creatively, and never lose hope, because a better world is possible if we all do our part.

With hope and determination,

A Student of Today

I write to you today from the year 2025, a time when we face significant environmental challenges that threaten the integrity of our planet and the future of life on it. We live in an era of unprecedented changes to the global ecosystem, and we hope that you have learned from our mistakes and successes to build a more sustainable world.

The Current State of Our Planet:

Today, Earth suffers from pollution, climate change, deforestation, and the loss of biodiversity. Pollution from industries and plastics threatens our oceans, rivers, and the air we breathe. Climate change, driven by greenhouse gas emissions, is causing rising temperatures, melting ice, and an increase in the frequency of natural disasters such as floods and droughts.

Ongoing deforestation is destroying the lungs of our planet, which provide oxygen and regulate the climate, while the loss of natural habitats is leading to the extinction of thousands of plant and animal species, disrupting ecological balance.

The Challenges We Face:

• Pollution: Plastics fill our oceans, and the air in many cities has become toxic due to fossil fuel emissions.

• Climate Change: Rising sea levels threaten coastal cities, and heatwaves are becoming more severe.

• Deforestation: Millions of hectares of forests are cut down annually to make way for agriculture or urban development.

• Loss of Biodiversity: Many species are going extinct before we even discover them, depriving us of opportunities to understand natural balance.

Proposed Solutions:

• Transition to Renewable Energy: We must phase out fossil fuels and rely on solar, wind, and other renewable energy sources.

• Reforestation: Planting trees and restoring forests can help absorb carbon and protect biodiversity.

• Waste Reduction: We must reduce plastic use, recycle, and adopt a circular economy that reuses resources instead of discarding them.

• Protecting Endangered Species: Establishing natural reserves and enforcing strict legislation can help protect threatened animals and plants.

• Education and Awareness: Spreading environmental awareness among individuals and communities can lead to informed decisions that promote sustainability.

Our Hopes for You:

We hope that you have learned from our mistakes and taken decisive action to protect our planet. We hope that you have found ways to live in harmony with nature, rather than exploiting it. We hope that you have restored ecological balance and created a world where all forms of life can thrive.

Our Advice to You:

Live consciously, and care for the Earth as it cares for you. Remember that every action you take has an impact, whether positive or negative. Be guardians of this planet, for it is the only one we have.

With hope for a better future,

A Generation Living in a Time of Environmental Challenges

By Lama Alkhaldi

Pollution, deforestation, and species extinction threaten ecological balance, while society often fails to treat these problems with the urgency they require.

Social and economic inequalities are also widening. Millions of people live in poverty, lacking access to basic rights like healthcare, education, and housing, while wealth continues to concentrate in the hands of a few. The gap between the rich and the poor is growing, and many vulnerable individuals struggle daily for survival.

Political conflicts and wars contribute to global instability, with violence, extremism, and intolerance spreading. Human rights violations are common, and many democracies face internal and external threats. I am a student from the past and in this letter I will talk a little about how our Planet is and how we can help it.

Well, right now we are extreme temperatures, ice loss and increased emissions reaching new all-time highs. To help solve some of these problems, we can encourage selective garbage collection, encourage the use of bicycles, improve the public transport system, invest in squares and parks, preserve green areas, carry out continuous inspections, control water supply and give tax benefits to companies that do not pollute.

As for deforestation and endangered species, we can create regional policies to combat deforestation, encourage and support the creation of regional policies to combat deforestation,
end environmental crimes and deforestation,
limiting indigenous lands, quilombolas and protection of conservation units and explaining how to make society aware of the issue.

By following these tips, we can build a better Planet!

Dear Future Generations,

I don’t know what kind of world you are living in right now, but I imagine it’s different from mine in many ways.

I write to you from a time when our planet stands at a crossroads. The Earth, the only home we know, is facing unprecedented environmental challenges, and as we look toward the future, we are both hopeful and fearful of what is to come. We hope that you will read this letter as a reminder of the struggles we faced, but more importantly, as an encouragement for the steps we must take to heal and preserve the world for you.

At present, our planet is suffocating from pollution. The skies, once clear and blue, are often clouded with smog and pollutants. Our oceans, once teeming with life, are drowning in plastic waste, chemical runoff, and oil spills. Rivers and lakes are contaminated, depriving countless communities of clean water. We have created a cycle of wastefulness, consuming resources faster than they can regenerate, and the consequences of this recklessness are visible in the rising temperatures, melting glaciers, and intensifying storms.

Climate change is perhaps our most pressing concern. It is no longer a distant threat; it is happening now. Extreme weather events—floods, wildfires, hurricanes, and droughts—are more frequent and intense than ever. Whole communities have been displaced by floods, while others face severe droughts that threaten their livelihoods. Our planet is becoming less predictable, and we find ourselves struggling to adapt. The impact of climate change is felt across the globe, but it is often the most vulnerable who suffer the most.

Speaking of wildlife, biodiversity is in rapid decline. Many species, both large and small, are facing extinction due to habitat loss, pollution, and climate change. The majestic polar bears, the gentle tigers, the vibrant coral reefs, and countless other species are vanishing, and with them, the intricate web of life that sustains us all. Every species lost is a part of the Earth's delicate balance that we can never get back.

I hope that when you read this letter, the Earth is in a better condition than it is today. I hope that you have found innovative solutions to the problems we face, that the Earth’s ecosystems are flourishing once again, and that future generations live in harmony with the natural world. I hope that the mistakes we made have been lessons, not failures, and that you carry forward the wisdom gained through hardship.

By Rama Altaani

Dear Future Generations,

I hope this letter finds you in a world that has learned from our mistakes. As I write to you, our planet faces serious environmental challenges. Pollution is filling our air and our oceans, they it is harming both humans and wildlife. Climate change is causing extreme weather conditions, melting glaciers, and rising sea levels, threatening communities worldwide. Deforestation is destroying a lot of forests, making many species go towards extinction and reducing Earth’s ability to absorb carbon dioxide.

Despite these challenges, we are fighting for a change. We are adopting renewable energy sources, reducing plastic waste, and protecting endangered species. However, these efforts need to be stronger and shared.

I hope that in your time, people have embraced sustainability - choosing clean energy, preserving forests, and treating nature with respect. If we are here to restore Earth, we must act as responsible humans, prioritizing the planet over profit. My advice to you is simple: protect what remains, rebuild what was lost, and never stop fighting for the environment.

The future is still unwritten, and I hope yours is filled with green forests, clean air, and a bunch wildlife. Let our mistakes be lessons, not repeated actions.

With hope,

Dinis Abreu and Miguel Florêncio

As of right now there are alot of problems on Earth. Here are some examples: deforestation, high emission of CO2 in the atmosphere, biodiversity loss and pollution. While we in 2025 are trying to do something about it is still very difficult. So if its difficult for us then how would it be easier for you, the future generations? Well, firstly, the technology will be way more advanced than it is right now so I am hoping that it could help in an eco-friendly way. If you see this message please, forward it to others. We are currently suffering the consequences of climate change and we don't want you to live trough it aswell. Thank you for reading.

Our planet is suffering from the effects of pollution resulting from human activities, such as emissions from factories and transportation. These emissions lead to deteriorating air and water quality, negatively impacting human health and the environment. Moreover, deforestation poses a major challenge. Forests are not only home to numerous species, but also play a vital role in regulating the climate. Deforestation leads to biodiversity loss and increased carbon emissions, exacerbating global warming. So, we must all work to protect our planet by taking effective steps, such as reducing pollution, preserving forests, and using renewable energy sources.
Dear future generation I am writing this to you from the year 2025. I would like to inform you that the earth is in danger and that people are destroying the forests that we need so much. There are various types of waste. The earth is being damaged by the burning of fossil fuels and the air is very polluted. I hope that in the future the pollution will decrease and the earth will not suffer.
