The ILO or the International Labour Organization started a program in Mindanao, specifically in the ARMM region, to help them stand and  at least get out of the poverty line. The TREE project, as it is known, is an integrated program that offers both men and women skill development linked to entrepreneurial development and other post-training support, considerably facilitating access to employment prospects. The project expands their expertise of enterprise planning, group management, quality standards, and ongoing product improvement. Right after the implementation of the tree project, gainful employment increased for 1145 graduates, months later, graduates utilized the skills they had acquired, this meant a hundred-fold increase in their average monthly income. The TREE project changed the lives of these people for the better.

The other children could hardly walk, when Manny ask the farmer how much money he makes, the farmer said that when he is hired as a weed picker in the corn fields, he is paid 150 pesos a day. He used to work 8 hours a day in Patil village in Nabunturan. Agriculture including fisheries could actually help people like the farmer, fishing is one of the main sources of income in some families. Opening rural roads could give opportunities to people like the farmer to have easy access to the market and can easily sell their products. Manny Piñol raised this problem while it was PRRD term they already succeeded  1,000 kilometers, as Piñol said he estimated that they will open new roads in 13 years. The Western Mindanao Community Initiatives Project's (WMCIP) Enterprise Development Credit (EDC) sub-component is a credit program designed to support the beneficiaries who are poor and disadvantaged in their entrepreneurial endeavors. By assisting the underprivileged and vulnerable groups, they hope to generate income (viability) for the state through the state-run microcredit program. Applying for good governance would ensure that the targeted beneficiaries' and their communities' development is continually lucrative, effective, and supported by appropriate state-driven and credit-based poverty reduction and rural development programs. There are four credit program designs, these are:
