Hey it's connor and i believe that odysseus is a great leader because he first helped greatly in ending Troy and he also went through many hard challenges where he had to save a lot of his men from quarrel. The part that really gets to me though is that he takes time to mourn for his peoples that died and that just goes to show how much he cares about his people.

I don't see Odysseus behaving in the way a leader should, with humility, putting his men before himself.
-Lydia Snyder

In the land of the lotus-eaters, he doesn't even try to get his men back, and he only cares about himself. I can't remember where this happened, but in one place he went to, when he escaped, he only took his ship, and he told his men that if they wanted to escape with him, they would have to swim. A good leader should put his crew's life before his.

But like most of us he has a selfish side of showing off and wanting to impress others. Overall he has the quality of a brave leader but sometimes is imperfect as every human being is. In my mind he is a brave leader with human flaws.

HI guys , Its Liesl. I think Odysseus is a good leader. My reasoning for this is that everyone makes mistakes even the best leaders. Odysseus made many mistakes but he protects his men and puts their safety before his own, that alone can make him a good leader. But it takes a lot more to be a leader than putting others before yourself, you actually need to make mistakes to show others that its okay if they make mistakes as well, and its a good way to learn .

Odysseus put his men in danger by taunting the Cyclops and causing his men pain. A good leader will listen to what his men have to say and then he will think about it himself, not completely dismiss his followers ideas.

This is Karter and I believe Odysseus is not a good leader. He clearly cares about his people but every where they go something bad happens. Every time they go somewhere he wants to explore the place their at. His men try to get him to stop but he doesn't listen. Just like when he was taunting the Cyclopes his men told him to stop but he didn't and that almost got them killed. Odysseus is a smart man and gotten most of his men out of the trouble but they wouldn't be in trouble if it wasn't for him. He also got many of his men killed by the mistakes that he made.

I have questioned Him countless times about why everything is happening to me. Literally right now my dad is sitting in our living room watching T.V. because he had surgery on his foot and can't do anything and my mom has to work hard to make up for my dad! Of course I question God but I still follow Him. Odysseus is a good leader he couldn't that his got eaten by a giant cyclops dude. Besides, we all make mistakes and you can't expect him to be perfect.

Hi guys! Its Kennedy, and I guess I'm kinda going off what Isaiah said. Odysseus shows signs of both good leadership and bad leadership. We have to also think of all the noble and good leadership moments he had in the Trojan war. Greece might have not won without what he did. However, there are also the facts that everyone else is saying. He just let his men get eaten in the cave of the Cyclops, and allowed his men to go into the house of Circe without him. So he has human flaws, like all of us do, but he has done many brave and noble deeds too.

Odysseus is a good leader because he cares for his solders and is faithful to them. I also think Odysseus is sometimes a bad leader because he, in chapter 9, abandoned his men to go find Circe when they could have been killed by something else on the island.
