His work with the church includes reaching out to the elderly and assisting them with grocery store visits, tax preparation, and other errands. David Leoce also engaged with the deaconship in launching a class that provides education to children with special needs. Earning his bachelor’s in accounting and business management at Jones College, Mr. Leoce had the opportunity to study in Europe and travel around the continent as well. To this day, he has a strong interest in the history and culture of European nations. While attending college, he also obtained a private pilot's license and extended his studies to include commercial flight and instrument training. Mr. Leoce joined the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the late 1970s and gained a position as special agent with the IRS Criminal Division in 1982. His drug enforcement responsibilities focused on investigations of individuals and groups engaged in illegal operations and he coordinated with diverse law enforcement bodies, including the U.S. Customs Service and the FBI.
