Restraint can be traumatic for those restrained, and for those restraining. <br><br>* Restraint should be used only in cases of emergency, when there is "a substantial risk of serious bodily harm to the child or others.<br><br>* Your training as a professional educator "may qualify" you as "trained personnel". <br><br>* Know the law, your school district's policy on restraint, and even your building policy. </div>]]></description>
