Super excited for where we are going. We have several schools looking at changing grading practices, they are looking at SBG, but SBG doesn't explicitly support our district vision like PCBL does. So we are helping them turn the corner in their understanding there. We are also super excited because more personnel are see the state framework for PCBL and thinking about adopting it as a district because it is such a good fit for our district vision. Very positive movement in the last couple of weeks.

The challenges we are facing is a pretty significant change in leadership and positions. Some things are in a bit of "wait and see" as far as what is happening.

(shutter) Well... the year was definitely a lot different than we had originally planned for. In our original grant we had wanted to do site visits and have had to pivot away from that. Instead, we have done a lot of research and tried to find different resources of how this would all work with our population (special education).
1- our pivot was outlining a plan and program where staff can show competency in the Canvas LMS (where a lot of the CBE will take place).
2- We have also realized some of the lagging skills that our staff have. This has helped us to understand where we need to go with drafting our Implementation Grant. Our first goals is to really help our teachers understand how to unpack standards and create lessons using our PBL Model (TPACK, SAMR, 4 C's) to make effective lessons.
3- We have also identified the steps we need to take in order to achieve successful change management when introducing CBE.
