The USA and Filipino forces were badly outnumbered . Forcing the commander General Douglas Macarthur to evacuate . </p><p><strong>3) 10,000 men lost their lives during this march , resulting in the Philippines to lose this battle . American and Filipino soldiers forced to march 65 miles .  </strong></p><p><strong>4) It showed the real story behind Japanese brutality . Showing and telling the American soldiers who lost their life during the march . </strong></p>]]></description>

It was the first battle fought entirely by aircraft . </p><p>4)  Allies successfully prevented Japan from  invading Australia .
