I hope that by the time you’re reading this, you’ve made it through all the struggles and sacrifices. I hope you’re wearing that white coat with pride, not just because of the title, but because of the heart you put into your work. Please don’t forget to be kind, to listen to your patients, and to always see them as humans, not just cases.

I know there will be failures and mistakes, but don’t be too hard on yourself. Keep going, even if it’s slow. I hope you still find time for the little things that make you happy, playing video games, drawing, or just laughing with people you love. Don’t lose yourself in the process of becoming who you dreamed to be.

Most of all, I hope you’re proud of how far you’ve come. You’ve carried the hopes of your younger self, and no matter where you are right now, you’ve already won just by not giving up.

To become a licensed and skilled oncologist who provides compassionate care to cancer patients, contributes to medical research, and promotes cancer prevention and awareness in the community.

FIRST STEP:
I am currently a STEM Pre-Sci student of Ateneo de Davao University Senior High School. I chose this strand because it provides a strong foundation in science and research, which will help me prepare for my future career in medicine.

SECOND STEP:
I will take up Nursing in college at Ateneo de Davao University because it will help me gain hands-on experience in patient care and prepare me for medical school. I also want to continue studying in Davao, where I am comfortable and supported.

THIRD STEP:
While studying in ADDU college, I will focus on excelling in subjects that involve laboratory work and hospital exposure to strengthen my practical skills and prepare for real medical settings.

FOURTH STEP:
After graduating from college, I will pursue medical school at Davao Medical School Foundation since ADDU does not offer a medical program. I will complete my internship there to gain deeper clinical experience and training.

FIFTH STEP:
I will continue to enhance my skills and knowledge while finishing my internship in DMSF and aim to become a licensed doctor specializing in oncology by the year 2035.

SIXTH STEP:
I will continue my medical practice at Davao Doctors College and work there to fulfill my dream of becoming an oncologist, dedicating myself to helping patients in their fight against cancer, promoting cancer awareness, and contributing to medical research.

She’s special to me because she makes me feel understood and valued for who I am. Every moment with her feels genuine and comforting. Yes, I can truly say that I love her, not just for what she does, but for who she is. :))

2. What lessons did you learn from them about love and relationships in general?

She taught me that love isn’t just about big gestures, but about patience, communication, and understanding. I learned that relationships take effort and honesty, but it’s worth it when both people grow together.

3. What type of love according to Robert Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love do you think you have with the people in the picture? Why can you say so?

I believe we share consummate love, because it has passion, intimacy, and commitment. We deeply care for each other, enjoy being together, and continue to choose each other every day despite challenges.

4. What emotions do you usually feel when you are with the people in the picture?

When I’m with her, I feel happy, peaceful, and safe. She brings out the best in me and makes everything feel lighter, even during stressful days.

5. How were they able to influence you to be the person that you are now?

She influenced me to become more patient, understanding, and open-hearted. Because of her, I learned to express my emotions better and to appreciate the small, beautiful things in life.

Maybe for me, my parents are working far from us with my brother. The time we have is not enough although they come home when they are able to. I think it is hard since they distant from us and we cannot see them always but my parents always find time to be with us and I understand the reasons of working to provide our needs also.

2. Think of the things your family does that you’re grateful for but believe could be done even better.

Spending time together is truly a great thing to be grateful for. It could have done even better when time permits us to do so.

3. Think of the things your family gives you that you’re deeply thankful for and want to keep forever.

I love my family especially when we are together. We travel and explore things together. I am grateful for my parents for sustaining us and providing our needs. I want to keep all the memories we had as a family and treasure it forever.

REFLECTION

Challenges are also blessings in a family. These challenges made me who am I today, a more self-driven, more understanding person and a more loving son. Having a family who loves me more I could ever think of is such a huge blessing. I am truly blessed to have my mom, my dad and my brother. They truly care for me and love me unconditionally. As a son, I will always love them and take care of them.
