Hellens teacher affected her life in so many ways. Before her teacher came she's was like a lost boat in the dark. When her teacher came it "opened up her eyes". Meaning that when Helen felt like she was a lost boat in the sea, She didn't think postively, and now she can finally understand things and she is not lost anymore. Her teacher helped her understand words now by making her interacting with what she is feeling and spelling out with her fingers.
