1. Simulation tools like TL may encourage teacher candidates to adjust their teacherly "registers" (i.e., take on the persona of a teacher, rather than be more informal and presentational than they would be with actual young people) when approximating practice -- more so than they seem to do during in-class rehearsals of practice among colleagues.
2. The conference had me thinking about how the kinds of approximations (e.g., in-class role plays, in-class rehearsals, micro-teaching, case study analysis, simulation tools like TL) we use as teacher educators (should?) differ depending on the nature of the high-leverage practice being enacted.
3. Given that TL requires the hiring of actors, it's important that teacher educators consider what the TL tool affords teacher education beyond standardized patient/student pedagogies (which also require the hiring of actors, but do not require the expense of purchasing the tech).

1. There are definitely very "traditional" or "straight forwards" ways to use TL . . . but I also felt that some more "out of the box" applications of it were demonstrated. Got me starting to think about the many different goals/uses that could come out of having TL at Towson. *Especially thinking about how to incorporate TL into existing classes . . how could projects and assignments.
2. When thinking about getting things up and rolling at TU, the conference also helped to highlight how to start small and roll things out. Faculty buy in will be an enormous component and laying that foundation will definitely assist with a successful implementation.
